Some of the guys in our clan find this to be a weak point, so they sat down and hammered out a list of possible achievements and their corresponding requirements. I'm posting a copy of that list here, for your consideration. Even if BIS don't include these for Arma 3, feel free to use this as a manual check list: Game, expansions and addons W00t!? - Successfully starting ArmA 2 Madman - Successfully starting ArmA 2 with an addon INVINCIBLE! - Successfully starting ArmA 2 Combined Operations with an addon SNAFU - ArmA 2 crashes when starting with beta, addon or vanilla Waterworld - Run ArmA 2 CO with 5 additional islands Elementary My Dear Watson - Find an unmapped key on the keyboard Embrace The Pain - Play with the ACE addon Can't We All Just Talk About It? - Play with the ACRE addon Single player Sir! The Guy By That Tree! - Identify 3 targets in 5 seconds I See You - Kill an enemy within 3 seconds of using your binoculars I See You More - Kill an enemy while they are using their binoculars Totally didn't see that - Get killed while using your binoculars Rogue Operations - Kill a sniper using a M9 or Makarov Cry Me A River - Destroy an armoured vehicle by driving it into a lake No Plan Survives First Contact With Your Troops - Mission failed within 5 min of starting The Map Is Mightier Than The Gun - Play a mission as Commander All Return To Formation - Play a mission as FTL Where Did THAT Come From? - Destroy a vehicle by driving it into the sea Beached SEALs - Hit land in a RIB travelling at top speed The Pointiest Stick - Shoot down a helicopter with an unguided AT rocket Community I'll give them something to complain about! - Create a mission and upload it ------ Disclaimer: Don't get me wrong. This list is made out of love. We've been playing the series for 10 years running, and though it has its quirks, we still enjoy playing. Also, some of the achievements listed, relate to specific people or events in our clan. Why the hell would anyone want to force themselves to play unnaturally just to get those godforsaken things? A little pop-up message doesnt hurt anyone ^^ Arma has never been a serious game and I'm always in for a good laugh! :) What about they add points to your armory score? sprayer_faust 0 Posted November 14, 2011 Ahahaha, good idea(s). :D But make it just for laughs - don't associate achievements with benefits. Make it multiplayer exclusive though. And don't forget to put in the "Disable achievements" option for people who can't loosen up. End Of The Line For You - Engage enemy armor beyond 1500 m with metis (or other wire guided missile). Königin Aller Waffen - Play mostly infantry (ex.: 90 % of time after 30 h of play time). Battleship Expert - In CTI: Kill the same player twice in a row with artillery (exploiting automated messages: "town under attack"...), while he is trying to capture your town. Reference to the board game "Battleship". Clever Choice - Use mostly smart weapons (as infantry). Budget Friendly Warrior - Use mostly dumb weapons. Underdogs' Top Cat - End game mostly on the losing team and do really well (high score). I'm a Farmer - End game mostly on the winning team and do really well. "I tried so hard to get "Seargeant" slot achievement in an MP game, wasted so many nerves, people were crying at me in horror and rage as I was taking the slot instead of a guy who can actually command, many a server has kicked and banned me but finally... finally on one remote server, hidden in the mist someone pressed the launch button and I achieved what I was struggling so hard to achieve - taking a slot!" The joke in the first post is of course a good joke, but it shouldn't be taken as a serious possibility. Achievement whoring is a terrible thing in MP.
