Don't. That AMD CPU will cripple you, I doubt ArmA III will be any different in multithreading efficiency.

Any one can help me out with what i should upgrade here or what would be my bottleneck?

current sytem:

Win7 - 32 Bit

AMD 1090T Pheonom 3,2ghz - 6 cores

4GB RAM

nvidia GTX470 1280MB

750W Power Supply

What im thinking off:

Overclokcing CPU to around 3.5GHZ

+4GB RAM = 8GB

64BIT Windows

IF this all doesnt help maybe a nvidia 660

Anyone has experience with the 1090T AMD cpu? I have the feeling it cannot handle Arma2, too well.

Dont bother adding more RAM, it wont give you any performance and 4gb should be enough for any game out there.

If you actually want to upgrade something go for cpu/gpu.

Min. fps = CPU

Max. fps = GPU

I'm truly holding my breath for tomorrow with my setup I have:

cpu: i7-930 @ 2,8ghz (going to oc it at least to 3,8ghz as soon as my cooler arrives should be ok?)

gpu: hd5850 (if this ain't enough I'm going to get gtx 670)

mb: x58-udr3

mem: 6gb 1600mhz(should be ok)

well tomorrow will tell the tale hopefully it has a happy ending ^^

I've had a different experience regarding RAM, Planetside2 is almost always at the 3.2gb cap, leaving me no RAM to spare of my 4GB (I'm upgrading in the next fortnight) and Arma2 often spikes my PC to a total of 95% Ram usage. I think an extra 4gb (for 40 bucks, or 20 if you're on DDR2 like me) would be fairly worthwhile, it's cheaper than getting an SSD at least...

Can you make a screenshot with 3.2gb RAM usage in PS2? Sorry but it's hard to believe (AFAIK it's not even possible, as i remember correctly PS2 doesn't even have 64bit executable), and anyway still it wont increase performance.

Would you recommend a Intel 3770K?
