gc8 977 Posted August 29, 2011 Hi Can anyone can recommend good mod for arma 2? I mean more house/vehicles stuff to go with the original arma2. Im not looking total conversion or mod based to any other time periord than modern day. Whats popular out there? I tried to play in multiplayer once but all the servers required some mod that i couldnt find from net ... just couldnt figure it for some reason, normally i find mods but I think i got confused with arma1/arma2 mods or something. thx. Spartan 163 0 Posted August 29, 2011 The only way to see is to try them. The most popular is ACE MOD, then if you like world war 2 there is Invasion 1944, point is there are tons of stuff for eavh taste. Use the big SEARCH button on top to find them. This topic will probably get locked as this is wrong spot for this. Go over fourm rules so you don't have any conflics with moderators.
Gunter Severloh 4062 Posted August 29, 2011 You need to be more specifc on what you want for mods, there are many of them, but the best place to look is on Armaholic in the downlaod section for the game you are playing, see here: Armaholic http://www.armaholic.com/index.php I tried to play in multiplayer once but all the servers required some mod that i couldnt find from net You could always try a compilation mod that wouldn't be needed on a server, such as A2WarMod http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=12254 for Arma2, or COWarMod for Arma2CO http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=14699(Arma2 + OA). Both of these mods contain most of the AI mods, gameplay addons and mods, as well as tweaks that are not required on any server, so you can join any server based on what the server requires (game version etc,.) and see the effects of the mod whereas the other folks on the server will not. But overall its up to you what you want to play with, Armaholic has basically every addon mod out there for arma1, arma2, and OA (arma2 + OA as well). wld427 1705 Posted August 31, 2011 not to toot my own horn or anything, but if you are looking for more vehicles and troops, i highly recommend Project RACS.

gc8 977 Posted September 2, 2011 THx still no luck in MP. It needs some CAWheeled2_BTR90 which seems like unfixable problem?? I have only Operation Arrowhead
wld427 1705 Posted September 2, 2011 Well the majority of mods will require the use of both arma2 and operation arrowhead. its kind of a way for us modders to support BIS by requiring both games.
gc8 977 Posted September 2, 2011 Well its quite upsetting, to having to buy something u dont practically need. But need it for technical reasons.
SigintArmA 10 Posted September 2, 2011 Well in a sense you do -need- it since 90% of the MP/Missions/mods tend to use both ArmA2 + OA. It doesn't hurt to support BIS by buying ArmA2, I mean, that money you spend goes right to making ArmA3 ^^ Who doesn't wanna help support that? Hehe
soul_assassin 1750 Posted September 2, 2011 Operation Arrowhead is not a game, its a standalone expansion. Most people here see it that way.
Archosaurusrev 12 Posted September 3, 2011 OA does add and fix a lot, I see it as necessary.
Gunter Severloh 4062 Posted September 3, 2011 Ya what you really have is just the expansion to Arma2, tbh i really dont understand why thats sold separate, i mean as been said you need Arma2 for most missions in the game, so if you want options then I suggest you get Arma2, and install OA into Arma2's directory, and then you would have Arma2CO Combined Ops.
