The worldcup 2002, who wins

Recommended Posts

yes the Mexico -Italy game was great , Mexico put up a great performance (except for the last 5 minutes in which i laughed my buttocks)

So Denoir- your beloved Croatia are out eh? tounge.gif

The ones who were going to win the world cup and show up all us 'conservatives' smile.gif

hmpf. on the contrary. it was my conservativism that made me miss on that one. Croatia came in third last WC and they were at the top of the qualifications. After the game with Italy I was sure that they would win against Ecuador. My bad. As you can see any logic in this WC is wasted smile.gif

Well, who cares anyway. Sweden is going to win the gold, and that is all that matters! smile.gif

Actually i must agree with you there,

not the last part  tounge.gif

but its the most interesting world cup i remember seeing, noone really knows whos going to win

i really have little idea whats going to happen

even England could win!

wow.gif

(but not if they become one of the favourites)

but i predict that England go down to Denmark fight back late in the game but not make it

that way either im proved right smile.gif

or ENGLAND WIN tounge.gif

wow.gif<span id='postcolor'>

Very little chance of that, since most people think that England will win over Denmark. That gives Denmark the obvious advantage in this WC tounge.gif

So, now we have seen the gold medallist France go home and bronze medallist Croatia go home. Will we se silver medallist Brazil getting their asses kicked home too? wow.gif

But you are taking the conservative approach. I would put more draws (wherever a draw is enough to advance) and more 0 goals. I dont think China will shoot a single goal.<span id='postcolor'>

My first correct prediction so far! biggrin.gif

(No, I dont want to show off!! My predictions so far all suck!!wink.gif

What were the mafia doing when they picked the winners this wc? Was the entire mafia on drugs or something? They even paid the linesman to disqualify their own teams goals in the italy vs. crotia match! Something is really weird with this world cup. All the major teams (well, most) have dropped out.

LMAO @ Hovmand. It should have been the Italians though! I swear that those guys are taking two hours before a match to fix their make-up. biggrin.gif

WORLD CUP LOGIC

Brazil last won the World Cup in 1994.

Before that they won it in 1970.

Add 1970 and 1994, it equals 3964.

Argentina last won the World Cup in 1986.

Before that they won it in 1978.

Add 1978 and 1986, it equals 3964.

Germany last won in 1990.

Before that they won in 1974.

Add 1990 and 1974, it equals 3964.

So going by this logic,

The winner of the 2002 World Cup is the same as ...

A total 3964 - Year 2002 = Year 1962 World Cup.

That makes it Brazil again ... who won the 1962 World Cup..

Swedish fans too have reason to rejoice :

Sweden has never won the world cup so we'll probably win it

in Year 3964!

Ah yes, Belgium - Russia

3 - 2

I'm pretty happy cuz their last match was horrible, i haven't seen this one but we won so i doesn't really matter.

Too bad we'll have to play against Brazil now, that won't be so much fun confused.gif

Oh well, there'll be lots of scoring and that's what the public like, right? biggrin.gif

Portugal - Korea 0 -1

USA - Poland 1 - 3

Once again this WC has followed it's logic consistently. Everybody though that Portugal would win. Everybody assumed that USA would win, since Poland has played so bad until today.

So let me formulate a general law for this WC

Denoir's law:

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">The team that you least expect to win will win, even if you take Denoir's law into consideration.<span id='postcolor'>

I think Tuvalu has a decent shot at it, if we follow Denoir's law...

"Uhm, does the names of Germany and England ring a bell?"

Shut up biggrin.gif im trying to obey Denoirs Law!

(and if Germany win i will declare war on Albert Schweizer)

COME ON DENMARK! YOURE BOUND TO WIN, ENGLAND ARE TOO DISORGANISED . Denamark are a solid team with decent strikers, theyll catch England off guard

GO DENMARK- in this unpredictable world cup they MUST be the favourites!

And the Danish flag is a thousand times better than England biggrin.gif

Ok, I should have added "on a match-to-match basis".

So if Italy and Taiwan would play, Taiwan would win as long as you didn't think that Taiwan would win, because then Italy would win. Of course if you assume that Italy would win because you thought that Taiwan would win, then Taiwan would win since you actually thought that Italy would win.

In short: The law is valid as long as you don't follow the law smile.gif

Edit: ITYJW: Your little stunt won't work, since you are making your assumption based on denoir's law. The fact is that if you change the side who you think will win because of denoir's law, then it is in vain. Denoir's law includes denoir's law.

NOT if i can TRULY bring myself to believe that Denmark REALLY WILL WIN.

If i have absolute belief and end up supporting Denmark as i have now,if i disown England from now on as my team.

therefore i assume that Denmark will win because i believe they really are the best team and most likely to go through.

ENGLAND WILL NOT WIN DUE TO DENOIRS LAW
