maddogx 13 Posted February 13, 2012 a small selection of units a small selection of the map the editor single player scenarios a selection of the tutorials no mod support Intro of the campaign so you get to know what it is about I agree with all of the above, except I think most (if not all) of the tutorials should be in there. Arma's learning cliff is steep enough as it is, so I think giving demo players as many tutorials as possible would be a good thing. I am undecided wether it should contain the multiplayer as this would most likely oppose problems. I am curious where exactly you see the waste of ressources and more importantly, advantages of the "free route" Dwarden :) Multiplayer in the demo is an absolute must, in my opinion. It's a much too important part of the game to be left out.

HazJ 1289 Posted February 20, 2012 A demo is not needed in my eyes when you have these :D.
MisTyK 12 Posted February 20, 2012 A demo is not needed in my eyes when you have these . I think, this is not the question. We can get a lot of video, that never tell you if there is gameplay or performance break. Maybe a Demo near a closed beta, for reporting all things, plus, cons, bench result or issues. Not only for play ( preview demo ), but why not a demo for pre-order customer or private test. So, +1 for a closed demo
HazJ 1289 Posted February 21, 2012 You can also wait before buying it and look at the game rating and reviews.

Lou Montana 101 Posted February 24, 2012 I got a better solution. You now how Take On Helicopters runs on a different server system, or whatever the correct terminology, than ArmA 2 (basically TOH/TKOH servers don't show up in Arma 2)? BIS could do the same thing with ArmA 3 and ArmA 3 Free if there is one. So that way, the FREE players can play by themselves, and the regular players can play without the FREE players. I would better go for a AllowFreeUsers = 1 (maybe on zero by default) in the server config ; I don't think a "client racism" would be smart - unless for some dark economical reason ; A3 should "include" A3Free from my point of view That, plus the fact A3Free users won't be able to play on addon-ish servers :)
