COOP 11 Tora Bora Campaign / Mission Pack (9 Missions)

Due to the lack of missions for the awesome Tora Bora map, i decided to create and release a mission pack. 🙂

They have all been tested on our dedicated server. They are working on both hosted and dedicated environments. They would also work as singleplayer missions, so if you want to have SP versions, just ask for it and i'll post it. (Or convert them yourself if you know how) Singleplayer packs added.

You are playing as a US Army Squad, 2 Fireteams led by a lieutenant.

 

Requirements

ArmA 2 Combined Operations

Tora Bora

 

Features

- Full ACE Support and Content (Make sure to disable ACE at the Lobby Parameter, if you're not using ACE, it is enabled by default!)

- ACRE Radios (Lobby Parameter)

- Choose between Bon AIS (Alternative Injury Simulation) and ACE Wounds (Lobby Paramater)

- AI Skill (Lobby Parameter)

- Time of day (Lobby Parameter)

- Synchronized, dynamic weather and rain (Both Lobby Parameter) But its highly recommended to use the default setup when playing a mission for the first time

- Random IEDs, Mines and ambushes at all missions (Be really, really careful when driving along roads :D)

- Random enemy amounts and types

- Random locations (for cache destroy missions etc, they are on a different position every time)

- Adjustable view distance and grass layer (Press T) But you cannot disable grass

- JIP compatible (of course)

- Some background informations for each mission (Notes)

- Vehicle repair (You can repair and refuel vehicles)

 

Respawn

Group (Respawn in your group, if there's no AI left, you'll become a seagull)

 

Missions overview

The Outpost, March 23rd

The US Forces just built their Outpost, defend it against the attackers.

The Patrol, March 25th

It's time to get familiar with the area and do a patrol.

The Mountain, March 28th

The Outpost took mortar fire, neutralize the mortar side and a mountain camp.

The Raid, April 2nd

Arrest a warlord.

The Valley, April 5th

A USMC Team has been shot down with their UH-1Y Venom, search and rescue.

The Disruption, April 9th

Destroy a enemy supply convoy.

The Settling, April 13th

Clear a stronghold.

The Fortress, April 15th

Clear an even bigger stronghold. 😄

The End, April 18th

Final push on the remaining enemy forces.

FIXED: Removed HMMWV loadout if not using ACE (lack of cargo space resulted in ammo scattered on the ground)

CHANGED: Renamed missions, so they can be played in the correct order

ADDED: SP version of the pack

KNOWN ISSUES:

- Tasks and notes do not show up until you're in-game (Only in SP versions) Don't know why that is...

- AI cannot enter the outpost (blame Mike-USA) 😄 I dont wanna touch that awesome FOB.

Hi friend!

This pack looks awesome-but due to 80% of my team is on vacations

(Greece you know :D ) i m playing more SP missions lately.

I played some COops as SP (I always using ACE) and the only tweaking

i forced to do was only to 'disable' Revive feature and bring back the BIS

First Aid module (to make things easier for the AI team medic)

So..

There are more serious tweaks someone must perform to play a COop as flawless SP?

If (your answer is 'Yes') then {I would appreciate a SP version :D  };

OK guys, i'll make a SP version... May need some small changes for that. Give me a day or two.

Also needs some fixes for the not-ACE version. Haven't tested much without ACE, to be honest. :D

Alright, im done already... Updated first post with new links and changelog.

I dont want to put too much effort in the SP versions, sorry. Its primarily a Coop pack. If you find any gamebreaking bugs in sp i'll fix them of course.

Really thank you friend for the ACE_SP version.

I m already at mission no2 ..and really takin' my time to finish it-while enjoying

the 'dangerous' feeling terrain :)

you create a campaign Tora Bora Campaign / Mission Pack (9 Missions) based on a documentary about outpost Restrepo Valley Koringal?

Having problem with Torabora not loading with the SP missions.

Have no idea what is wrong here. All is set properly in the parameters.

Do I need ibr or something?

You get this at all missions?

The only requirements are:

Tora Bora

ArmA 2

Operation Arrowhead

...and it should be patched to latest version (not beta) of course.

For the ACE version you need

@CBA

@ACE

@ACE_X

I double checked all the missions for any addon dependencies, nothing else is needed.

Please check your arma2OA.rpt for relevant errors and post them here.

I think its a good idea i like play campaigns more then sp missions, its no to big job only description, overviev and all missions put in Campaignname\missions folder and maybe add intro/outro but i dont need that.

Makes no sense to me, just play the scenarios in the correct order. There is not a real story or so. Doesn't really fit into a sp campaign.

I mainly created them for dedicated multiplayer sessions.

If there is no real story then you have right and better to play it as sp scenarios. But on the other hand, im also played the mp campaigns Kalinka and Red Devils and also there was no connecting story in all missions,and playing those mp campaigns [in sp] was also pretty cool.

No worries bro.

Reason I asked is that the mission is very much like in a story mode where you listed down the dates and event happened, makes it sounds like a person's ordeal of having been through a certain period of time.

I guess you have taken the idea from the movie Restropo.

Yep, it inspired me a bit for sure. Was a good documentary.

Mike-USA also designed the outpost "a little bit after Restrepo".

Having problems loading the missions in the MISSIONS folder.

I have Torabora as in @torabora with the pbo in the addon folder, yet , I cannot in all of Satans hell, get it to start up....

Just don't know what is going on. Been playing Arma2 since it came out.

Doesn't have that issue, maybe try re-downloading the missions.

Our main problem was the main outpost's layout and location. You would never want to be stuck against a hill like that.

We havn't made it too far into the whole campaign yet tho due to a gamespy bug.... But These are awesome, they work well, and theyre fun at the same time.

Compliments, nice missions...!

Playing it in SP-Mode with ACE and like it good.

In the 2nd Mission "The Patrol" i can not find the Weapons-Cache that needs to be destroyed in the 1st Village!?

Could someone give a hint please?

Hi snake, glad you like it so far.

The caches are on different places each time you start the mission, so i dont know myself. :D

But i can give you hint(s) for the first village:

- There are two caches

- One is inside a building and one is out in the open

- There are two yellow markers on your map (question marks), the caches are around those markers, inside a radius of up to 75m

- The one cache inside a building is rather small and not so easy to spot. Search all floors of the buildings carefully ;)
