Well, I have seen some devs in response to certain posters be almost vindictive about trolling... Bohemia Introllactive :icon_twisted:

Well I don't keep up with the news much, but I assumed that the first aid module in A2 was originally developed for the campaign but also included as a module for mission designers to access. Then when A3 came out it didn't pass the quality testing (it was pretty buggy I found) so they took it out so completely - their motto in A3 seems to be if it isn't up to scratch it is scrapped (until it is fixed that is).

Now I am guessing/hoping that maybe for the A3 campaign they have created/updated a first aid module that does pass QA and are going to give it to us as a module for mission designers to use as well just as they did in A2.

But as Kilroy points out, they also had Jackson being healed in the infantry showcase so really the pic doesn't mean anything. But it would be particularly trollish/insensitive after all the complaints about the medical system after release. Anyway guess we'll find out October 31, something to look forward to.

quality testing? :D the same animation is used for the repair specialist not even a mocap with spanner in hand are able to do ...... this engine has serious problem for to insert animations, i don't know why, something is possible and something is impossible.... but surely they have to work hard around it

Nothing to do with the engine, I would say its not (yet) having spent time on capturing a specific animation for that task. You can't do everything when developing something.

You can't really speculate about release times based solely on those revision numbers. BI are using internal dev branches which are on the same number scheme but can have completely different content than the public builds.

Long story short, let's not jump to false conclusions.

If i win i want to see you with the :yay:Dance :p

If i lost :p hum...^^

I edit this answer when we had the info from BI.

But I would really like to hear if a better first aid system is planed or not. I think it gets more and more unlikely the more time passes....

Well, at least they clarified that now and didn't let us stew until the campaign. Still disappointing. :(

Fingers crossed that they'll still release such a module some time in the future...

ArmA2 - medic system with all the animations is gameplay

ArmA3 - healing animations from ArmA2 is a staged Call of Duty cutscene

B-Team is hard at work

By that he meant that no major engine updates will come with the first campaign episode. He does mention further improvements will come with the other episodes.

You guys seriously thought a medic system would get implemented? :)

Judging by what Arma 3 is you can probably forget about it. Maybe in a future expansion but I have more faith in Santa Claus then in that happening.

It sounds like "shut down the rumors lest they hold it against us in the future!" The devs have clearly learned the lessons of "no promises" and "tell people ahead of time about placeholders" :icon_twisted:

OT we'll just have to wait when or if medic stuff will get added? :cool:
