The helmets are definitely distinctive, so it will be hard to mix up friend or foe. ;)

As for the "blindness", <NERD MODE> I'd say it's more likely that they've got some stereoscopic augmented vision going on. If each of those "flaps" projected an image directly onto the retina, each from a separate camera, they could probably see better than any other person. Zoom, night vision, info overlays (augmented reality), visual communication... stuff like that, and more, would be possible.

I would guess they´re self-colouring sunglasses, atop of being augmented reality displays/HUDs.

They´ll probably be adjusted to look more transparent in time.

Guess BIS will provide a mp feature with those displays/HUDs that you can watch movies while waiting for others to finish their MW/BF doublel33t makeup/cross-dressing and chitchat... :p:D

I hope these guys are special forces because if every soldier got this equipment, it's going to be a very costly army. And I doubt even fictional Iranian Empire thinks using millions on a regular soldier is very cost effective.

Also, and this will probably change anyhow, at the moment the weapons they are holding seems a bit too new and unused. Some scratches, wear and tear is most welcome.

If i remember a statement of pettka correctly ( about the combat suit) this is a standard uniform. It will not give the soldiers an outstanding advantage over other soldiers. Maybe the team will use the HUD's to display information we currently have available in easy difficulty settings ( friendly; enemy markers and similar. )

these are grass-vision-goggles, in arma 3 the AI will see through vegitation for a reason!

What's so :j: about them? Technology gets cheaper throughout the years and keep in mind that this is WW3 so it's prob in mass production. Plus it's just a micro climate unit and a helmet that looks funky because of all the wiring it has going through it.

Just grab 'em to your HD whenever there's new pics, thats what i'm doing (31MB and counting) :cool:

However i'd like to see far more 1920 screens instead of the 720p thumbnails :D

it's easier to post some links than send some files over skype to friends that might be interested...moreover, new ppl (possible customers) would much rather drop on the official website than on facebook/twitter/steam to see what all the fuss is about, no?

Hmm... I have noticed the Iranians seem to have three camos, one the standard Brown one, one the green/tan one used on the helmets, and one the gray/light blue and brown used by some Iranians in screenshots.

take a closer look: the first one might be the urban variant (look at the blue base, whereas it looks white in the second one)
