Original FSX addon by JR Lucariny

Converted and modified to ArmAII by Gnat with permissions.

Various changes including adjusting the 3D model,

merging some textures, adding animations,

adding damage textures, adding wreck model etc etc

Great work! Though I'm a little sad that the landlocked desert faction of Takistan wasn't given pontoon versions of this! :) There's some water... heh :p

Its nice to arrive to the island by air, land on the sea and then drive up to the coast ;) Too bad I got stuck in the mud, then unable to move the plane anywhere =)

5% ? ...... really?

Why so tiny a change? ..... which plane? ..... then again, why change at all?

It is a light plane after all, not a jet fighter.

The roll rate on the armed version was reduced slightly in line with a couple of weighty things hanging on the wings .... which I feel was appropraite.

Hey gnat, I'm pretty sure A2L is going to incorporate this into the RPG mission at some point, so I'll let you know how it seems to work in MP dedi :D

well, if you dont want me to call it "cute" then i ll just say its nice.

I think the rollrate is pretty good already, just needs a tiny adjustment from my point of view.

Awesome planes, Gnat.

However the seaplanes gears do not retract in multiplayer so if you try to land on the water....boom.

Tried it on a dedicated server. Hope it gets fixed

Yeh, its a problem. Been trying for weeks to crack that issue ..... no go so far.

I'm also looking at an addon that adds "water airports" to many of the normal BIS and downloadable terrain.

Airports positions/apporach routes are hardcoded in the island configs, so it a very tough cookie to crack. I doubt that can be done with objects/gamelogic/scripts but a config for all islands and selectable water-areas might be cool. And AI is then another issue...

No ... not hard at all IceBreakr, its easily done with an addition addon config. Dont even have to modify the original terrain files. ;)

edit: the hard bit is working out all the bloody X & Y coodinates.
