What 3 Things would you like to witness in your lifetime?

A intruiging question, and would be interested to see others views on the subject, mine are as follows:

For me the three things I really want to be around to see , of which the first two have a good chance:

1.Radio Contact with another civilization in our galaxy

2.A man on Mars

3. Quantum Computing i.e Intelligent self aware computers

My first two are really expected to happen within the next 20 to 30 years, if im lucky maybe the 3rd but could just miss that.

Now this is an interesting thread for a change.

1. Clean/abundant sustainable energy sources to power everyones energy needs. High energy density batteries, imagine if i could run my laptop for a couple of days on a single charge and have it charge back up in less than a minute super cool :)

2. Contact with alien civilization or other intelligent lifeforms

3. Super Human implants, for super intelligence, built in computers and HUD, super muscles (being able to lift up a car with ease), super endurance being able to run for hundreds of miles without fatigue, figuring out a way to manipulate the human sleeping mechanism. I dont want to spend a 1/3 of my life asleep..

I own the original game and have played the Kobayashi Maru mod - it's good, but sadly still limited by the crappy BC engine.

I had my hopes on NanoFX Evolved (a whole game engine from the guy who made the NanoFX mod), but I don't think there's been much development on it for quite a while. :(
