Shizora 10 Posted July 6, 2011 Hi all! Well I love to play Arma 2 wih all those nice addons online but it's a big problem for me to get all addons for a specific server. Is there any easy way to get the auto config url? My way is to search a server with YOMA, then google for the servers website and hope to find the autoconfig url on its website... .kju 3245 Posted July 7, 2011 Not every server has a yoma server.. :) Most likely you will have more luck by using SIX Updater.
sickboy 13 Posted July 7, 2011 (edited) Six Updater is backed by an official community powered network which contains a large set of mods already, this way you can join many servers without needing auto config url or finding hosts with the required Mods. http://www.six-updater.net/p/about.html But anyone (usually server admins) can still host custom repositories with Mods, Missions and additional configuration. A list of such communities who have shared their details is available at: http://www.six-updater.net/p/communities.html Edited July 7, 2011 by Sickboy
Shizora 10 Posted July 7, 2011 I tried Six updater before and it seems to be very complex, doesn't mean its bad! As a junior developer i have very much respect to the devs ! Ill give it a try again, it seems to be the tool I am searching for. Thank you very much :)
.kju 3245 Posted July 7, 2011 There are a few video tutorials out there that explain the basic and common functionality.
Shizora 10 Posted July 7, 2011 (edited) I think I got it to work. At least some servers I add as preset automaticly show all compatible addons, thats nice :) The only problem I have is that winxp mode doesnt work. I check the checkbox but if I restart SU the box is uncheked. Also if it is checked and I start arma 2 I have those texture bugs EDIT: Resolved by adding -winxp into the params column manually. I'm happy now :) Edited July 7, 2011 by Shizora
