Isla Balkania (aka Project Massacra)

Recommended Posts

Icebreakr, an updated Sahrani map would be awesome! I've been looking forward to your EPIC project for quite awhile.

@Stang: This is not an updated Sahrani. This is a custom island with Rahmadi added to it...

Great news, always excited to see what you and your team are up to. Good luck with the project, we all look forward to it.

When showing off the game to friends and family, an island from Icebreakr is always part of the show... :)

Update: added team info to the first post.

Looking for talented addon makers and mapmakers that would help with the project.

Heh, just noticed I was in the team. :)

If you wonder what "Cartography" means, something like this will come along with the island. Though in more dedicated variants. With proper grids.

Well, I took a first test flight yesterday as I know that area from RL flight or two.. I'm happy about it ;) pilots will love numerous valleys that will provide shelter from AA teams ;) Due to my new upcoming RL duties I rely on the community to work on this with me. Any help will be appreciated.

So glad you're starting a new project.

The whole Red Dawn theme is a winning idea...

I just saw this. I really like the Idea of a balkan style island. You know that you can count on me as a betatester. I' going on vacation to Split in two weeks. You want me to make some pictures of the coastal line?

I'm focusing on other parts and I have collected more than 2000 reference pics, so no need :) and Split is just ~5 hours away from my place :]

I hope that island will be used by Balkan wip project, too.

Would it be cool to:

- release map with a weekly/monthly build

- have couple of positions preset that won't change, intended for setting up FOB/bases

- add new settlements and parts of biggest town each build

- makeshift airports that get upgraded each build

What is your opinion?

That'd be cool, then at least we can use what's available and keep building on what you give us.

Think of it as the "evolution" of the map.

Exactly. Its more a community project with constant ideas flowing. I also doubt I will be able to pull it off in a way I did previous islands ;)

Great Idea.

(I cannot wait to get a whole RACS colony Gets supported by PRACS Army and owns all countries scenario)

Not much progress lately (to show), but first beta is surely on the way.

I'll have a lot of work focused on making some hill border passes like this:

I'm still deciding how to make a SE part of map, it will be much more flat than rest of the map. Great for tank battles ;)
