How many polygons/faces and vertices will arma 3 handle?

Recommended Posts

For us modmakers. Does anybody now how many polygon(faces) and vertices arma 3 will be able handle. Is it like arma 2 right now. The models in arma 3 look like the have more possible to handle more faces/vertices.

Do you really think it's even necessary to go above what the ArmA 2 models have? I'd say it's probably the same.

Even in ArmA 2 you can have as many polygons as you want as you can work with proxies.

Holy bat-nipples, have you seen those "rounded shapes" in your self model?

Everything needs more polygons, especially all those equipments, I never look under the chest because those awful radio equipment and such.

With tessellation you would no longer need LOD switching :D

Actually you would. You can't just tessellate everything...

Tessellation improves the model. It won't magically fix problems with it.

It takes time from creating different LODs so the developer can put much much more work into fixing problems.

Although if you add polygons, you will require a more efficient anti-alias since more polygons= More aliasing.
