Arma 2 Free has only low Res textures for the models (like BAF and PMC lite)

If you want te really beautifull graphics you should buy the full game.

I actually found the A2F stuff to look slightly better than BAF/PMC Lite. Also, Chernarus/Utes don't have ultra low quality terrain/buildings like Proving Grounds/BAF Island had.

Plus A2F runs really smooth due to the lower quality textures :)

Like many here ( or so it would seem) although I have all the titles and additional content, I downloaded the free to see what it was like and be better informed when telling friends to get it.

This flies without the higher res textures. BI did a great job of putting a 'training' mission in it as well as the boot camp. The editor give A2F players endless hours of entertainment and gaming.

Newer players shouldn't forget this is FREE and if you like it or really ant the better looking game, crack out the credit card and support BI!

Unit textures should be better, at least twice as detailed. Same goes for ground.

Because the problem is while Chernarus itself looks p. good the aforementioned things have a big bad contrast with it

If you're gonna complain about the quality of a free version of a game, you dont deserve the computer or internet access you're using to get it.
