Eremitt 10 Posted June 23, 2011 (edited) So when are these guys going to make a decent working game? So far Arma series have been littered with game breaking bugs and glitches. I tried to play Arma 2, couldnt complete because of a random bug. When patch came out i tried but by that time i had found some thing else to spend my time on. Now im trying arma 2 operation arrowhead and yes, bugs and glitches from te start. My very first time starting the squad get stuck behind a wall, 3 times until i kill the squad leader my self and after what seem like 10 minutes they managed to find their way around the wall. Now im at mission 7, but the game wont load mission 5 so i guess i have to download and install the game again. Dont know if my saved game is damaged and ill have to restart. I know i should not buy any thing with the bohemia interactive logo on it, but im still stupid enough to go for the arma series. All the other glitches and bugs are annoying, but at least not game breaking. Its a good concept these arma games, to bad its not some one who knows what they are doing that is making them! Eremitt 10 Posted June 23, 2011 Thats why i bought it. To play single player campaign. To see the high command part. And i cant get there because the game wont load my next mission. shay_gman 272 Posted June 23, 2011 I agree with Eremitt. I don't play SP and I agree the COOP MP is the only way to have real fun in ArmA. But inorder to get more players in and more money in BIS pockets (which will lead to future releases) is the SP. Now days alot of champs usually download the demo or Utorrent it and try the SP if it is good they buy it. I remeber the days when I bought games by the cover picture and the small pics in the back side of the box (way long ago) just to open the game at my home and find out it is a piece of garbage. So a polished SP with cinematics, good voice acting, no or at least less bugs is a good way to bring new blood in. Ofcourse for us the ArmA junkies it will be just another fix. sw1 10 Posted June 23, 2011 I agree there are bugs, but that's the cost of BIS making a campaign which features fully intelligent AI and doesn't just do the Call of Duty thing- script the entire mission so tightly that the player has no freedom and the campaign is the same every time. I played the campaign and occasionally I had to restart a mission due to a bug... but on the whole it was a great, exciting experience. That said, maybe I got lucky :D. Eremitt 10 Posted June 23, 2011 I played a little online with the original arma 2. It was fun enough. But i prefer single player. and since this is arma i prefer the strategy part of the game more. metalcraze 290 Posted June 23, 2011 I've completed OA campaign without a single problem back when the game was still 1.52 so I dunno lol OA campaign isn't that good though - way too easy. I don't enjoy all the childish behavior on public servers, and don't have the time to join a squad, and participate in it on a set date, or whenever they play. Joe98 91 Posted June 24, 2011 I am new to the series. I got Operation Arrowhead in October 2010 and Reinforcements just recently. I only play single player. I am thoroughly enjoying “My Missionsâ€. There is a huge selection of troops, teams, squads, vehicles, mechanised infantry, armoured infantry and armour from all sides. You can easily create a mission on any part of the map, in any weather, any time of the year and any time day or night. wipman 1 Posted June 26, 2011 Hi, i was unable of pass a certain OA v1.54 campaign mission because while the previous missions runned at between 22 to 34fps... on this mission, it runned at between 0 to 4fps. That one where you begin inside a M2A3 and have to go to a blue mosque in the middle of a city, and quick...! before x3 BMP-2 screw up your M2A3; well... after seen that (100% unplayable) thing... i'd uninstalled the OA (as CO) from my computer and never gonna install it again.
