Game also freezes when I copy the mod files in the Addons folder in Game Directory - only when I start the mission friend in need

Hey sick1, I'm still having trouble with the end of Mission 8 (I think):

I can't take off in the plane? I've tried to take off by flying down the road to the right, but it always crashes in the water... I've even tried to go left but get hung up on every tree lol. The fastest I can get the plan to go is ~51 kph, but when I tested the plane on Utes' airfield, it wouldn't take off until I got it to ~80 kph.

@zyri, it's cool bro. Let's figure out what's going on with your setup. Can you see the mads listed in the main menu on the right of the screen?

@ USRanger709 Yeah I guess i made that part a little too hard. It is very possible. You need to gain as much speed then slight pitch the plane up and keep it at the same angle, and slowly climb. You could just use the endmission cheat. After you go airborne the mission ends. I'll think about making it a little easier.

@mant3z, use the m119 like a static turrent. Don't use the artillery computer. If you don't like it, it's not mandatory. Go grab some ATs and take them down.

I was playing the non ACE version and it was an awesome campaign so far. However, I just switched to the ACE campaign and it keeps crashing me in the first mission as I approach the FOB in the seahawk. I have posted my RPT below. Can you check it for me?

@ USRanger709 Yeah I guess i made that part a little too hard. It is very possible. You need to gain as much speed then slight pitch the plane up and keep it at the same angle, and slowly climb. You could just use the endmission cheat. After you go airborne the mission ends. I'll think about making it a little easier. .

Will do, once I get OA working again...it bugged out me so I'm trying to reinstall it :( But this is what happens when you put a ground pounder behind the stick of a plane ... lol :p

zyri is your CO up to date with the latest patch? It appears that you are missing some BAF characters. This was included in a patch from BIS.

@ Sick

I´m at the mission where you are on overwatch for the rangers attacking the Airport.

I´m using the ACE Version and there are a few Problems with it.

1. Place the Ranger Helo somewhere else. Due to extended ACE engagement Ranges one of the Shilkas is firing on the chopper right from the beginning of the Mission

2. Give the Player a SOFLAM. Vector Rangefinders can´t be used to lase Targets.

3. The Mk19 kit in the Quads consists only of Tripods. You need to add the Launcher and Ammo

4. Let the Support Planes Spawn at a greater distance.

Just finished Devgru v1.22 Sick1 like you write this your best campaign :) I have no crashes or gamebraking bugs. In that mission in Zagrabad i have

3 x text:

East: Guard cant patrol that bulding, due game bug. Maybe little patrol script error or something but mission end with no problem.

In mission where we must fly with an2 its hard to take off but after few load game it was ok i have luck :)

And last mission maybe little to hard but great i hide with my team in 1 town close to dictator house and defend that sector, enemy number is maybe little to big and they have few tanks and apc, its hard maybe little frustrating.I use many times save/load game. But after i finished that mission i think it was great :), ps:

Apparently the mission is easy if you take weapons with silencers and I took the normal version, and probably therefore i have these problems

Running now vers. 1.2. In the FOB mission after "hunting with wolfes" I was unable to use the chopper as transport. I couldn't get the chopper moved by on map click so I had to use one of the cars instead.

Edit: restarted the mission from scratch with no success can't order the pilot of the chopper to move. Or am I supposed to take a humvee?:confused:

Hey,

I think I noticed an issue with the ACE version of the campaign. The RH weapons do not seem to be available in the gearing up menu during briefing.

I've finished it, very good job... it was a pleasure to try all this addons which has been used in it.

@tom3kb

last mission was easy... you and your team need to be equiped with SD rifles and guns, and some smoke grenades. I've lost one man but at the end it doesn't matter

I tell myself I'll take for big final normal versions not SD and I had big trouble. But fighting in the city was also cool and hard. In earlier missions i always took SD weapons. :)

If you're asking if it works with Ace, the answer is yes. ;)

I mean are the missions built around the fact that ACE engagement ranges are much longer than vanilla engagement ranges or was it just updated to allow the use of ACE units.

Hey Sick,

If its not too much trouble could you add the RH weapons? I really enjoy using the Mk14 and P90 on missions and a lot of campaigns/missions don't have them available.

"Does it break gameplay" is what I was getting at. The way playing the vanilla campaign with ACE does.

Hey Sick1

I'm currently playing version 1.22 Vanilla ArmA, no mods, only required addons.

I'm CTD continiously

1.) I still got the the config error poppin' up everytime a new missiom loads.

2.) In the mission "seek and detroy" I'm experiencing constant CTD's. I'm unable to switch to the teamleader. everytime I try I CTD. I can switch to any unit without problem, if I try to switch to the teamleader it's game over due to CTD.

@nettrucker: I can't really answer your question, but I played through with the required + all optional mods, and the only CTD I had was after the last update. It occurred one time, and reverting the mission fixed it. I know, not very helpful. I wonder if any other missions or campaign cause your Arma to CTD? Maybe stress test your hardware (RAM + video card)?

I'm getting CTDs at the end/beginning of missions. I'm using the ACE2 version. It also happens if you start up a campaign mission then exit and then go try to load up a mission in the editor. It just started after the most recent few beta patches for OA. I guess others are having the same problem with just OA and the beta. It's reported in the beta 82282 thread.

For those of you having CTDs check your .rpt file. Is there something that looks like this?

On "Friend in need" I can't load the injured CIA agent in the black hawk, I'm carrying him and going to door of the blackhawk, and I cant load him. No menu selection or anything. I'm using the ace version. Please help.

I have started to play 1.22 when playing the first mission on Zargabad "seek and destroy" and there began the CTD. Before that i was still on an earlier version. It's pretty weird it happens only after I reload from my last savepoint. When loading from the savepoint I'm not the teamleader anymore as I was before the save. When trying to team switch I'm not able to and after a while the game crashes to desktop. With an error message like "an error occured the application will be closed". Now it happens pretty much everytime I'm in a vehicle with my team. I can't disembark because I don't have any control over the leader. Save games when in the open field doesn't give me any problems only when I'm in a Humvee or UAZ. I'm not using the beta patch when playing, last ufficial patch, only required addons. Now the first time it happened I started the mission from scratch because I was still at the beginning. Now I'm deep into the mission and unable to proceed. I guess I have no other choice than to restart the mission once again. have a look at the rpt it gives me 2 warning messages UAZ related.

I noticed also when playing Bardosys "Chesty Puller" Campaign that I had several crashes to Desktop when switching from High command to my own squad. I don't know if this relates to a problem on my end. Haven't had any problems before.

In any case I love this campaign, it is well made and it has voice acting on it. There are a lot of good campaigns out there but most of them are lacking the voice acting, which is the icing on the cake for me.

Edit: I get the ctd everytime I order my team to disembark from the vehicles. I'm able to switch to the teamleader but I can't get out of the HMVV. So i ordered my team to disembark imediate ctd.

you have to drag or carry the agent very close to the choppers door and release him. He should than board the chopper. It can sometimes be a bit buggy. I fiddled myself a bit with this.
