the units are ready for the first release

so here goes

DAVEYGARY'S RANGERS

These models are still in the beta phase so i am sure there are going to be a few issues,

but hopefully not too many.

The Rangers include;

Team Lead

Squad Lead

Ranger (cqb)

Ranger (Silenced)

Ranger (40mm)

Automatic Rifleman

thank you Rabbity for the use of your multicam textures which unfortunatly i didnt use but gave me the idea

to reskin the models in a higher resolution pattern and for everyone else that has helped me along the way

I am also going to include my ESS Tactical Sunglasses mod, i know a few of you guys has asked me about them

I've got an error with the gloves1_co.paa when we launch a mission.

Great work!.

One issue, ESS_Tactical_Sunglasses.daveygary.bikey and Rangers.daveygary.bikey should be pbo bisigns.

I'm guessing those are the daveygary.bikey atm of which you just need one. ;)

ohhh you are bad releasing this at the same time as the Pracs files , man ..... now players have got to choose wich to test (and play) first :p

realy cool troops :) cant wait to put them againt pracs troops :p

new models up now (this is the public release of my units customized release and i forgot to change the glove rvmats lol)

Thanks for you update!

The gloves errors was solved, but these problems are still there:

"Cannot load material file 2ndrangers\data\pyle.rvmat.

Cannot load material file 2ndrangers\data\us_soldier_body_wound1.rvmat.

Cannot load material file 2ndrangers\data\us_soldier_body_wound2.rvmat."

I just took the liberty to unpbo your file, and found the reason, in config.bin, under the rb_teamleader/Wounds:

mat[] = { "ca\characters\heads\male\defaulthead\data\hhl.rvmat", "ca\characters\heads\male\defaulthead\data\hhl_wounds.rvmat", "ca\characters\heads\male\defaulthead\data\hhl_wounds2.rvmat", "2ndRangers\data\pyle.rvmat", "2ndRangers\data\us_soldier_body_wound1.rvmat", "2ndRangers\data\us_soldier_body_wound2.rvmat" };

Delete all the ' 2nd' in front of Rangers, then the right path name was given, no any mistakes then.

By the way, your units are really cool, should consider make a replacement to replace the normal US infantry team!

Thank god someone finally made professional looking Rangers. If I have to see one more Specops addon using the same Force Recon, Delta models I think I'll go crazy. The helmets are terrible and every spec ops in the entire world all look the same. You can't just repaint FR and call them Rangers.

So once again thank you for a GOOD addon. You didn't leave much to complain about. I love the helmets especially.

My (useless) input:

-Their pants look too tight. Not baggy enough.

-Maybe cause they don't have knee pads. Give them knee pads on both knees and they would look perfect. And it would probably get rid of the tight look of their pants.

-Their ammo vests look like they should come down just a tad pit more.

-Something looks odd in the crotch. It looks fine when they stand still with no weapons, but with weapons they have one foot forward and it stretches that section. It only stretches a small area of camo, so it takes the light brown color and stretches it but no the green or other colors. No big deal just makes it look stretched out as opposed to looking natural. Not sure how to explain it.

Anyway, on a scale of 1-10 they are at a 9.8. Really great work.
