Arma 2 expansion pack?

Civilian chopper sim. There's a forum for it.

(It's not an Arma2 expansion pack, no.)

I hope BIS will come forward with some more information soon. (Though I guess they may be saving it for E3.)

People have so many questions... it would be nice for some of them to be answered. :)

I am the same as you mate but I think its a little early for BIS to be answering the plethora of questions that are in threads.

I wish they would though!

Perhaps they will do another Q&A like they did with OA? :)

when BIS announced Arma 3 i was very suprised and very, very happy and actually did a happy dance

But i still have some questions concerning arma 3

  • Is Lemnos the only map we will have available in Arma 3 or are there other settings?
  • How compatible is it with Arma 2 ? Will we be able to port models?
  • What are the Factions next to the NATO? And which NATO members will be present in Arma 3?
  • So now that we have PhysX, are we going to see advanced terrain and object destruction and interactive environments?
  • Were you able to accomplish 3d scopes?
  • Is it possible to have some sort of Tesselation on the terrain?
  • Will there still be "classical" units such as the AH-64, M1 Abrams on Arma 3 standard and new features?
  • Are there now more fully modelled vehicle interiors for e.g. tanks?
  • Were effects such as explosions and the sounds reworked?
  • Is it now possible to have caves ingame? Because i imagine comming from an SDV and rising to the surface of a half cave and then infiltrating the area
  • What are the new features? RtT etc...
  • What are the AI fixes and enhancements?
  • is the netcode reworked?

I think at E3 i can get some answers to those questions

Nice roundup PurePassion!

But one point is missing:

-Optimised or reworked netcode e.g. warping and desync

Yes - I think that these are some of the most important questions!

I also have to agree but I guess only in the next couple of months we'll get some of those questions answered.

Btw, when will you release the first teaser trailer, BIS? :)

@andromedagalaxe For sure! The requirements on this site, ArmA 3 Requirements,

are the optimum requirements. At least I hope so. ;)

says: Intel Core i5 or AMD Athlon Phenom X4 or faster

So I guess not. Why would they put optimum requirements and not minimum? Crap.

Seems rather disturbing that the majority of threads in this section are complaints and gripes rather than looking beyond what the basic game will be rather than expanding on what it will bring.

Also can someone tell me why when a community member makes a sci-fi themed anything it is said to be original and unique and great, but when a developer does something of a similar sort it is met with a hailstorm of negativity.

It's no different to when ArmA and/or Arma 2 were first announced/released. Give it a little while and people will either settle down or get bored. ;)
