Stuttering

Recommended Posts

Well I made the following tests as Bigpickle suggested and I played 20 minutes without any stuttering :). Can this be the solution? Can this save me money from buying a new harddrive? Im very excited and I will continue later with more testing but it seems the solution is to disable C1E.

BIOS:

Disable CPU Enhanced Halt (C1E)

Disable EIST (SpeedStep)

Thanks Bigpickle I have no words to thank you enough :).

Ah, good to hear! :ok: I always keep C1E support OFF for this reason...you shouldn't need power-saving options if you're an avid gamer and play on a regular basis; it usually leads to problems while gaming.

Have fun w/o s-s-stutters!

I didn't find those with my Asus mobo, only cool n quiet and HPET support

i think i did this in bios, there was some HPET support option i disabled Disable HPET (Got an Asus board? HPET is forced on. Use TimerResolution as a fix)

Disable CPU Enhanced Halt (C1E)

Disable EIST (SpeedStep)

did this Disable Cool'n'Quiet

Disable Hyper-Threading
