focher 15 Posted May 6, 2011 Guys, it's NOT RTS, I don't know why do you all think it's RTS) Likely because the very first post says it's an RTS. Dunno if it is, but the post says it is.
Choki 10 Posted May 6, 2011 http://www.deepsilver.com/en/game-view/view/game/accessall/iron-front/ There you have. RTS for sure
panzer_baron 10 Posted May 6, 2011 http://www.deepsilver.com/en/game-view/view/game/accessall/iron-front/ There you have. RTS for sure I am one of the developers, actually) It says FPS-Strategy, meaning "tactical fps". I don't know why didn't deep silver put it strightly "tactical fps", maybe because they don't have such option on their site.
Choki 10 Posted May 6, 2011 haha yes shure. Well the textures of the land and the gras are from a RTS game, not like Arma
BigMorgan 11 Posted May 6, 2011 (edited) I am one of the developers, actually Will the game be published in North America? Will it retain Arma 2's map-based mission editor? Will it retain the open-ended structure of Arma 2 regarding .sqf mission scripting and .pbo "addons" ? Finally, is there an English discussion forum open for your title? Ingeneer 10 Posted May 6, 2011 (edited) Well the textures of the land and the gras are from a RTS game, not like Arma 2 As you wish :D But it's tactical shooter. Will the game be published in North America? It's the question to Deep Silver, actually. My wish, cause i love "Blues brother's" state, Illinois ;) Edited May 6, 2011 by Ingeneer

liquidpinky 11 Posted May 6, 2011 (edited) DeepSilver is the publisher for Egosoft's X3, which tells me all I need to know. Awesome. +1 X3 is my second favourite game after A2. Egosoft being another developer like BIS that looks after their community. Edited May 6, 2011 by Liquidpinky
NeMeSiS 11 Posted May 6, 2011 "Strategy" Well if you really want you can read too much into it, and then be dissapointed later. It doesnt really matter to us. :p I doubt it will be more strategic than the high command stuff in ArmA2.
Daniel 0 Posted May 6, 2011 Choki, who's developing this game, you or the developers? :p

Darkhorse 1-6 16 Posted May 6, 2011 @Choki: Check the site again, it now says Iron FrontPC - FPS-Strategy Available for: IT WILL NOT BE AN RTS Also, the objects and ground textures are the same type used in ArmA 2. Hell, as visible in the screenshots some of them are FROM ArmA 2.

Rakov 0 Posted May 6, 2011 I don't think you guys are excited enough about the possibility of a playable Europe/Moscow in Arma 2 and this mod, er... new game. :P
james mckenzie-smith 1 Posted May 6, 2011 If the High Command module stays in the editor, this might prove to be one of my fave games of the year...
Hedo 10 Posted May 6, 2011 Wow, didn't see this coming. I remember playing Liberation in OFP. I hope that it will be as moddable as Arma and that they'll improve the engine too. And Hopefully it won't be just a "paid mod". It also reminds me of "With Fire & Sword" that uses Mount & Blade engine but was created by another company. I hope that it will be as moddable as Arma to and give us some tools
mondkalb 1087 Posted May 6, 2011 It seems to me that LibMod will finally be released. Though in Q4 for money, but still a release. Awesome! But I fear there are going to be heavy measures to prevent compatibility between ArmA2:OA and IC:L44. :(
BigMorgan 11 Posted May 7, 2011 But I fear there are going to be heavy measures to prevent compatibility between ArmA2:OA and IC:L44. :( That would be a huge shame, maybe enough to prevent me from buying the game. For instance, your Celle map would be pretty much perfect for LibMod scenarios.
