I had the same problem, the most hazzle-free way is to use the installation tool released by Dwarden. You're not supposed to have a REINFORCEMENTS folder in your Arma2 folder. Well yes there must be one, but the only file in it must be the unistall.exe. Reinforcements has to be installed directly into the Arma2 folder. Obviously the installer that comes with RFT does not properly recognize the installation of CO, so it doesn't merge it automatically.

Uninstall Reinforcements -> install with the DLC setup utility -> start the game with OA.exe

yes I did use the install tool and still had the problem.

I have found that this file remained even after uninstalling RFT

so I deleted it reinstalled and all is well. I have no explenaton for this as

instalation was never interupted.

but at least it works now!

Run as administrator. right-click arma2oa.exe, goto compatibility mode and select 'run as administrator'

If you don't BE cant update and you'll be kicked.

it wasnt a BE issue, never was, in fact BE was something I updated independently with the

BI tool and the problem persisted.

mostly because it was a file signing issue not an OS privileges issue.

This issue has been solved by deleting the offending file AND reinstalling RFT!

I did reinstall with it but it didnt fix the issue. :(

Only was resolved when I deleted the offending file and reinstalled.:)
