About Reinforcements.

Recommended Posts

I have ARMA2 DVD version, and only ARMA2.

I heard Reinforcements contains a light version of OA (OA minus the missions and scenarios). Ok so here's my questions.

  1. With just ARMA2 and RFT will i be able to use mods made for OA?
  2. Does RFT include the maps OA brings for use in the editor?
  3. Does RFT include the new units, vehicles and weapons from OA?

Thanks. :yay:

Reinforcements already comes with OA "Lite", in that you get all of OA's content apart from the missions and the campaign. So long as the mods you're looking at using are not dependent on the missions or the campaign from OA, then they should work with Reinforcements.

  • No requirement to own Arma 2 (A2)
  • No requirement to own Operation Arrowhead (OA)
  • Arma 2: Reinforcements (RFT) is a standalone product
  • The RFT content includes:

To clarify Zipper's point just a touch - there is no texture capping; it's not 'lite' in the same sense as 'BAF Lite' or 'PMC Lite', which exist for multiplayer (MP) compatability. Quite simply, an owner of RFT has all the necessary MP compatible content from OA and onwards, at the best possible standard.

Best,

What means the lettering "Includes authentic Map" on the Reinforcements-DVD-Cover ?

Is there a new Map ? Or what does it mean ?

To confirm Reinforcements contains the following:

1. Arma II

2. Operation Arrowhead

3. DLC's PMC/BAF

Is this correct or will I need to purchase both Combined Operations and Reinforcements ?

You will need to purchase both ArmA2 and Reinforcements if you want the full package (minus OA singleplayer-stuff).

Aww Im getting this reinforcement too. I hope this will not create version mismatch.

I mean the other people who bought DLC certainly don't suffer version mismatch.

Anyone can help Colt on his issue?

Have you patched it with the OA 1.59 patch?

Did anyone notice the note in the lower left corner of Takistan map?

NOTE

CAUTION - NOT to be used for targeting.

:D

Is this one of BIS pranks (again) or have I just misunderstood it?

BTW, nice map(s).

VOTE SOB FOR PRES

or he'll have you bombed

:p

but seriously, some military maps are not "precise" enough to be used for grid coords artillery or airsupport, so they say "not to be used for targeting" or something like that.

its usually larger scale maps like the 1:250,000 or such
