Unable to Connect

Hello everyone, I've recently purchased Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead via steam and got the Original Arma 2 ages ago from Disk. Now whenever I attempt to join a Multiplayer game it allows to pick my character but when I go continue it will begin to connect me. After loading the game it'll just send me back to the lobby with no error message, this happens with every game I attempt to join. I've got Arma 2 and OA fully updated as well.

I'm quite sure it's something wrong with the Steam/CD clash but if anyone could help me I'll be very grateful.

Ignore the Spam bot, it's reported now. On Topic, are you running Combined Operations? To check, go to SinglePlayer > Editor and tell me what map names you see. Steam may be conflicting with your retail version, or vice versa. It may be possible to merge them, but I'm not too sure as I don't own a Steam version.

Chernarus

Utes

Takistan

Zargabad

Shapur

Proving Grounds

Also do you get any message when it kicks you out at all? Not even something along the lines of "You were kicked off the game?". The next thing that I would try, is to run standalone Operation Arrowhead from steam without ArmA 2. Connect to an OA only server to see if it allows you in.

I'm hitting the pillow now, I'll have another think when I bounce back.

Yep I can join those maps. I recently tried reinstalling Arma 2 and it seems that it got worse and I now get two different messages. First being "You were kicked off the game" second one being "Failed to connect".

I'll give trying OA alone ago now and post my results. Thanks for the help :)

It could be battleEye needing an update. For some reason when I updated my BE client was not also upgraded to the latest version.

You can get the correct latest version here, I had the same problem...this fixed it.

Just follow the instructions. I am not sure about the steam version...I assume it is the same.

Try at your own risk however.

I see this thread is dying so I figured I'll update everyone. I've now only get a message saying that I have been kicked when I try to enter a server or sometimes just "Unable to connect"

Have you try'd forwarding the correct ports on your router? I am not sure if that makes a difference when connecting to a server however, it's more so a factor when hosting.
