aussieterry84 10 Posted April 4, 2011 just reinstalled ArmA 1 Gold Edition and patched using the 1.08 to 1.14 patch so far atm and the game just goes to a black frozen screen :( i've tried running as admin and running the compability as XP but still getting the black frozen screen on start up. Tankbuster 1733 Posted April 4, 2011 It doesn't run on your Windows 64. Given the popularity of this OS I'd expect lots of posts if it was down to Windows. So I think it's likely to be something other than the OS. Possibly a corrupt install or a driver needs updating. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I'll try the patch out right now :) ...oh, one more thing; will this work on the standard 'not gold' edition? (it does) [uPDATE] Fixed. Patch works a treat! :) Now to finally max out armedassault!!
