saw the plan to release some playable teaser stuff on 23/06/11. it's stuff like this that will ensure i always buy BIS software.

we’re planning to release a Take On Helicopters Community Preview very soon.It should give you a better idea of where we are heading, but also allow some of the extremely talented addon makers to start crafting addons tailored for these more advanced simulation aspects that will be part of our future releases.

wait, do you mean we are going to be able to make mods and addons with the community preview?!

Yes, we've configured the TKCP (hm, no) it in such a way as to enable mods; partly, our motivation for the TkO:COMPREV! (hm, clunky) is to enable developers in the community to test their content with the upcoming game before the official release.

Obviously, we can't guarantee that anything made for the Tak-C-Pre (hm, weird) will work straight off the bat for the final build of the game, but we reckon that it's a pretty good start.

Perhaps it's also worth subtly dropping in that we're currently trialling implementing IK in tomorrows build, which we're all positively tingling about. Huh, maybe that's just me, though, could have been a spicy TakOH.

Inverse Kinematics? Is this also a preview by any chance to the revamped ArmA 3 animation system?

Gotta find me some pills that will let me fall asleep and wake up tomorrow...

IK is in Arma 2 already, no? Isn't that how the animations were made to blend together better early on?

Congratulations Bohemia!

It's been a long time, a very long time for many flight simulation enthusiasts.

Personally I've been playing flight games since SimCopter and wen't over fly, fly2, IL-2 (and addons), and then things stopped, just stopped. Yeah there is MS flight simulator, and the occasional "arcade" flight game, but they are mostly boring.

So thanks for taking the time and resources to bring us something we can look forward too, and from what I've read and the E3 footage, I already know I'll buy it (and pre-order if possible)!
