ASR Map Grids v1.4

Download from Dev-Heaven

This is a small collection of config addons that reconfigure map grids and GPS accuracy.

For maps you have grids of 6 digits at maximum zoom (accuracy: 100 x 100 m) or,

when zooming out the map, 4 digits (1000 x 1000 m) grids, while the GPS (or ACE DAGR)

will show you more accurate coordonates with 8 digits (10 x 10m).

The configs also fix the grid offsets so that grid 000000 corresponds with position [0,0],

for maximum compatibility with various addons that require this in their calculations.

The pbos have obvious names, pick and use what applies for you.

To enable the grids for the various non-default maps, you must copy the respective files

from the optional_addons to the addons folder.

Fixed the grid offsets so that position 0,0 corresponds with grid 00.

Re-added config for SAP_Everon instead of CWR2.

Removed ToraBora config (not needed, works fine out of the box).

Renumbered grids starting with 0 from the very bottom left to make sure we don't have situations like grid N:999 100 meters south of grid N:000 anymore (bug that was breaking ACE DAGR distance measurements).

Updated grid configs and ST HUD support to match latest versions of the maps.

Removed pbo for ACE (integrated directly).

Added support for CWR2 maps.

Removed pbo for SAP Everon (conflicts with CWR2).

Added another optional addon: asr_c_sthud.pbo, which adds or updates ST HUD support for the enumerated maps.

this isnt client side is it?

Ah, yes, it should probably suffice to have this client side only, since it's just UI.

But imagine having different grid setups in MP amongst teammates :eek:

I installed this today on a server and got the above fault every time, server won`t start either.

Ah, yes, it should probably suffice to have this client side only, since it's just UI.

But imagine having different grid setups in MP amongst teammates :eek:

Do you mean this is a Client only by the above comment ?

I will probably update this again very soon as I've learned that changing grid offsets is breaking some functions.

There are many pbos and their name should suggest what they are for.

In this case, looks like you don't have CWR2 so don't use that pbo.

Do you mean this is a Client only by the above comment ?

Client only yes but they should obviously be the same on all clients so when someone gives a grid reference that would mean the same location for everyone.

CWR2 I have no idea what that is, its not in any of our mods (SU custom or Official).

The only mention I find of the phrase cwr2 is in your "asr_mapgrids_cwr2" is that by chance the cold war rearmed map ?

In that case if I add this mod, but only to the relevant maps we actually have, then I may have more success....:)

Map grid don't work on Fallujah, they still starts by 05 and 09 and not by 00. So I still can't use Paladin on Fallujah :P

Sorry for the grid offset messup guys, I'll update this soon. Can someone confirm that the Palladin works fine in Fallujah without this mod ?

Didn't try Fallujah, but it works in Takistan just fine without the mod. With the mod, it effs up the FCS royally. :(

The Fallujah has wrong coords anyway, even without addon. It doesn't start with 00

asr_mapgrids_fallujah looks for fallujah v1 specifically.

Fallujah v2 is out

Last I have is 1.2 which is what I set the grid for. Where can I download v2 ?

It was reported by my server when I tried to run it today.

Maybe it is 1.2 standby I `ll check again.

It maybe that Six Updater is loading it as @fallujah ?

Perhaps you're not loading Fallujah 1.2 at all ? The message indicates that.

cfgpatches config for fallujah 1.2 looks like this:

Sorry fella - yeah your right Fire Deamon was not loading Fallujah at all on boot up.

I re wrote the command line to ensure and it seems fine now.
