Satanello 10 Posted March 19, 2011 Hi all. I added a 2nd monitor to play A2OA at 3840x1080 (2x26" Lcd) but i have no changes in screen resolution settings in the game. What is the problem? My system: i7 920@4000 mhz, 12 Gb, 2xGTX460 SLI. OS Windows 7 x64 Nvidia drivers 266.58. Tnx in advance!!
PuFu 4600 Posted March 19, 2011 you won't be able to use only 2 monitors for playing arma (unless using a 3rd party software - don't ask me which one though). The reason for that is that with dual monitor setup your center of screen would be the game between those two monitors, which i am sure that won't be funny. PS: i also have a dual monitor setup (2x24"), but never even bothered trying to have a second one running in any game.
Satanello 10 Posted March 19, 2011 :D thank you, it was only a test to verify the performance of my system (i can't waste lot of money....), in this test review a couple of 460's runs very well!!
liquidpinky 11 Posted March 19, 2011 Have you tried switching to windowed mode (ALT+Enter while in the options menus) and stretching your screen that way? You can then select the 3d resolution setting in the graphics option and setting it at 100% or higher. You could also probably force it in your profile settings in my documents by putting in the resolution required for the dual screen set up. I recommend you alter the FOV in here as well the or the view will look a bit stretched out. As PuFu says, it won't be much use as your aiming reticule or even when you ADS it will be in the centre join of the two monitors.
rfc 10 Posted September 3, 2011 I've successfully played, err, tested this on two 1600x1200 monitors. I have HD 5970 and I used CCC to turn the Windows desktop into one whole desktop instead of being two separate entities and then I was able to choose this high resolution in game. Was very immerse when flying, but you can't play for real because of the target between the two monitors ...
