I am still confused as to why running the intro would result int he mod becoming as broken as it does -- my presumption is that with an intro the load and initialization order is changed in some way that results in all of the trouble. We to have seen the "hands stay up" bug with a number of weapons we have in our mod-set. It also seems that you are not able to blind-fire with those weapons as well. Again, I presume there is some missing config information for those weapons that is causing both of these issues. Really looking forward to RC2, this has definitely enhanced gameplay for us. The hands stay up bug is a matter of missing weapon classes, for example custom packs etc. We are continuing to add new classes, so make sure you report the bugged weapons within the bug report ticket. For blind firing, I got the anims manager to check for the agility factor of the weapon in use. If the agility factor is lower than a specific amount, you won't be able to blind fire with it. I found that the current value is appropriate and balanced for all the BIS stock weapons I've tried..it is possible that the author of a custom weapons mod added an agility value to his weapons that does not effectively match the BIS "scale"..hence the impossibility to blind fire with a weapon even if it seems like a viable possibility. zukov 483 Posted July 8, 2011 sorry if the question is already written in this thread, i didn't read the entire trhead, for the reloading animations, are possible only through MOCAP? if yes, the pipeline is "MOCAP -> MAYA + TEACUP PLUG IN -> game" how do you assign the reload animations for each weapons? All players also shutdown and restart their game. Log back in and we are back in action. No Issues. No, I have not one Iota of what this means. I am only posting what I have found. We run an oodles of addons including ACE, DAPMAP healing, Robalo's AI and weapons configs, as well as Robert Hammers Weapons, Custom islands like Lingor, with Crocodiles. Too many to list here. Thing is it works if everyone starts fresh with the -skipintro ONCE. You can't leave and come back to the server later that night or the next day. Hope that helps. I freaking love this Addon. smookie 11 Posted July 11, 2011 The only thing i can think of for the moment is that the mods you are running (for instance ACE?) are taking too much resources and somehow launching the anims messes up the whole game? The modification is basically written so that it alters default ArmA2 CO anims and skeleton (ManSkeleton) and I would rather indicate ACE or other resource consuming mods to be the issue in here. However few versions ago of ACE there was no issue, and nobody seems to know what changed in ACE that started this. I don't know about your restarting the game breaking it, I haven't noticed any problems when using -skipintro. Again, no idea why that actually does anything important. Forgive me if this issue has already been brought to your attention, but I work long hours and don't have time to scan the entitre thread to see if it has. When I use your mod, my mern get stuck. They will go into the crouching sniper stance and no matter whether I tell them to fall into formation or even stand up, they will remain in it, in their exact position, for the rest of the current mission. I was wondering if any1 else has run into this problem, and if you were aware that it existed. Other than that, I am a fan of your work and can't wait for an updated version. The only problem I have though, is when stacking up is relatively putting the player off of the camera due to the angle of the 3rd person. Dansk_skalle 10 Posted July 28, 2011 Hey, I love this mod and what you are trying to achieve with it. The standard anims are certainly kind of basic and doesn't really allow for a deeper experience. There is although a few things I want to point out to you. I have used this mod quite a lot and this is what I noticed: * The "walking" anim moves in slow motion in MP, but not to yourself, only to others (You probably know about this one, pretty obvious) * That thing about the game checking for structures/walls to enter back-to-wall mode or climbing, it's completely unnecessary and it doesn't work (You seem to be on your way fixinig this too) * Using space+E/Q to do back-to-wall makes it easy for you to accidentally start sprinting, I would prefer the alternative to use a separate button for this as in previous versions. It works though, so it's not a huge issue. * Leaning against a wall from the right side is a pain if you're in expert/first person. Your guy makes kind of a pirouette to get in and out of the position. I can see why it is this way, but it's very confusing for your guy to start doing dancing steps when in first person. If the right-side were more like left-side anim it would be awesome. I know this latest version is just a RC, but if you fix the "slow motion" bug and remove structure check this mod would be damn near perfect. Keep up the good work and thanks for an awesome mod!
