ryolitt 10 Posted February 27, 2011 Well, here's the story: I bought my copy of ARMA 2 : OA legally from Gamestop, but my computer has a messed up CD drive, so i can't install games from a CDs..... That's when a torrent with an .iso file comes into picture: I installed the game from the .iso file, but under the installation, it didn't ask me for my CD key, which is legit, and just carried on till the end. After the installation was done, the "modded" part of the installer asked me if i wanted a crack, and i said no, since i got the retail CD ( My CD drive can read CD's but it can't install from them ), but i don't think this has to do anything with my main problem: When im trying to patch the game from v1.51 to v1.57, after the installer bar has reached 100%, i get the message *Wrong CD key*... Well, it's pretty self-explanatory, but i don't know how to change the CD Key...I've tried Regedit, but i can't seem to find the stringvalue i should put my CD Key Any help is really appriciated! ~Ryolitt
Zipper5 74 Posted February 27, 2011 Why exactly did you buy a DVD copy if you knew your DVD drive couldn't read it? Why not go with Sprocket or Steam? That leads me to believe you haven't actually purchased it. Piracy is not tolerated here.
