Ducatisto 0 Posted March 6, 2011 Pre-ordered it on Amazon.co.uk for 24£, I think it's kind of expensive but hey now that I can get a hard copy no reason not to buy it. :)Let's just hope the € is going to apprise. ^^ Hmm bizarre, an email just dropped into my inbox from Amazon a few minutes ago stating the price to be £17.79 (was it 24€ you were quoted then?) , but wait a minute? The release date is .......... April 1st ;)
dunedain 48 Posted March 6, 2011 (edited) Yeah but they charge 5£ of shipping fees, total is 23,70£ or ~28€ as for now.. Still cheaper than in France though. Apparently they dispatch it the 31 March. Edited March 6, 2011 by dunedain
wipman 1 Posted March 6, 2011 Hi, the more i think about it... the more i get to the same conclusion; it must have all the needed code/things of the OA as CO to work in MP, this for me means extremely bad performance and no ArmA2 (only) addons compatibilty, but i guess that we'll have to wait for know it for sure. I'll preffer BIS to work on fix all the existing models, code & textures (over all UV mapping) bugs on the ArmA2, then OA and later on the DLCs than releasing something that don't fix any of the broken or half broken things. In spain we call this: A Swill. Let's C ya
Saint Warrior 10 Posted March 6, 2011 I have BAF and PMC installed with my copy of ArmA 2: CO. Could anyone tell me whether Reinforcements contain any other content different from that we already have in our copies of CO, BAF and PMC? In short is DVD BAF and PMC different from downloadable BAF and PMC in terms of campaigns, missions etc ?

You will get the same content thats is already available as a DLC, the only difference is it's on a DVD.

It is standalone according to BIS (http://www.arma2.com/gameplay/arma-2-reinforcements-features_en.html) Arma 2: Reinforcements is a standalone expansion pack to Arma 2. It does not require the original Arma 2 or Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead.
Beagle 684 Posted March 7, 2011 It is standalone according to BIS (http://www.arma2.com/gameplay/arma-2-reinforcements-features_en.html)So it is basically ArmA II OA engine repackaged with BAF and PMC but without OA campaign based on what I see in the linked page. Panthro 10 Posted March 7, 2011 yep probably right...... maybe a patch included? I will still buy it tho! I hate not owning things. DLC = lifetime access NOT ownership!
