Mannefro 0 Posted June 9, 2017 I also used Fraps when playing Squad, the frame rate dramatically drops when intense fire which i think both caused by my hardware and Fraps's itself. Later I turn to Camtasia and record with it. Although fps still dropped, but it far better that i cannot even felt it. You can download Camtasia in its official link http://discover.techsmith.com/camtasia-brand-desktop/?gclid=Cj0KEQjw6-PJBRCO_br1qoOB4LABEiQAEkqcVaEhNTvJmUfQNEHhV56uODfBmEp_-z4UipxwPkIaNGoaApXv8P8HAQ. You can as well use it to edit your gameplay video by changing parameters. About it use you can read:http://www.videoconverterfactory.com/tips/how-to-use-camtasia.html which contains detailed details. Btw, i am also a new user of it. Gunter Severloh 4056 Posted June 12, 2017 Adding to this conversation, considering i have a duel core, and everything else i have for hardware is better, i discovered OBS Studio which has no FPS impact when recording game footage, works perfect for me, sometimes i dont even know its on. Buts its free check it out: https://obsproject.com/ If you need help getting setup i recommend going on Utube and looking for a beginner tutorial for 2017 on how to setup. The cool thing about this program aside there is no noticeable lag or fps drop ingame while recording is you can record your desktop too, its not limited to just one application.
