Bundeswehr Extension

Jägerbataillon 533 is one of Germany's largest ArmA2 squads with a history going back to Operation Flashpoint. We play both COOP and PvP and have been hosting multi player events for the community.

As a German squad we enjoy playing with German units and vehicles. We are very grateful for the excellent work of the BW-Mod team and we regret that they have decided to discontinue their project. We decided to add some content to the mod which we felt was missing from the original. We mainly used the work of other talented modding groups who kindly granted us their permission to write new configs and change the textures. Obviously these models are not 100 % authentic but we hope that you find this compilation useful and that you enjoy it as much as we do. :)

If and when the BW-Mod team or AMT should deliver any vehicles or aircraft which are present in our compilation we will remove this content.

  • Unit: Helicopter Pilot
  • Unit: jet Pilot
  • Vehicle: MARS (woodland / desert / winter)
  • Vehicle: M113 Sanitätsfahrzeug [Armoured Medical Evacuation Vehicle] (woodland / desert)
  • Aircraft: CH-53gs
  • Aircraft: Eurocopter Tiger
  • Aircraft: C160 Transall
  • Static: MG3 Erdkampflafette [tripod]
  • Static: MILAN

Features:

  • BW-Mod compatibility with OA / CO - except correct FLIR imaging of BW-Mod content
  • Retextured Eurofighter 2000 - requires the "RKSL EF2000" addon
  • The BW-Mod MAN truck can be used with or without its repair capacity
  • FLIR imaging for gunner and commander of BW-Mod Leopard 2
  • FLIR imaging for gunner and commander of BW-Mod Marder with MILAN
  • Fastroping and loadmaster possible in the CH-53 (only with ACE²)
  • New sounds for the CH-53
  • if used with ACE2: Medical supplies are present in M113, SAR helicopter and field hospital

Strongly recommended but not required Addons:

  • AMT
  • ACE²

Requirements:

  • ArmA2 and OA (Combined Operations)
  • BW-Mod
  • RKSL Eurofighter Typhoon
  • BW-Compilation_ACE (only if you choose to play with ACE²)

Known Bugs

  • Unit at MG3 has not the correct postion (will be fixed in RC2)
  • Errormessage "kpfs ...", just click it away ;) (will be fixed in RC2)
  • Problems by leaving the CH53 as gunner on right side. We suggest to move on co-pilot first and then disembark (hopefully fixed in RC2)

BW-Compilation sound complicate...

so is it BW mod 1.8? should i delete my BW mod 1.7

if not and i wanna run ace?

should i run @BWmod_ace as well as @bw-compilation_ace together?

well ty for ur time and effort... can't wait to play some co-op with the mod

We are not the BW-Mod, so it´s no new version of it. Keep the 1.7 :)

So yes, if you want to play with ACE, just use @BW-Mod_ACE and the @BW-Compilation_ACE with the main addons (@BW-Mod and @BW-Compilation) and the other required ones (@CBA, @RKSL).

Your addon list should look like this:

@ACE

@ACEX

@CBA

@BW-Mod (1.7)

@BW-Mod_ACE

@BW-Compilation

@BW-Compilation_ACE

YES the leopard 2a6 finaly has thermal witch now makes it the best tank of arma 2 once again :-D

I have a little question concerning the BW-CH-53gs.

What is the command to animate the door ramp ?

(I've tired with the C130 Animations but didn't work)

Well, the ramp should be animated when you use the order "open/close ramp" (mouse wheel). But only if you are outside the CH-53.

We´re working on RC2, to see the ramp open/close when you are in the CH-53. Just give us a few weeks more time, there are a few more bug fixes and new features / vehicles coming up with RC2 :)

Wow, I've been out of it for a long while. I never knew you could fight against China's PLA! I remember fighting the Russians and Americans (oddly enough - never sat well with me) in OFP which was a lot of fun. The PSG1 was a favourite of mine.

I strongly agree. There ought to be servers which run BWMOD. There's the [sYN] server which is a German one. Perhaps they could do it.

Are we able to launch the ATGM on the Marder?if yes...how?I can't see where to call it up to launch?

First of all: Thank you for your great work! :)

Question: Is there any chance that the Tiger gets some more attention? It looks great but the flight characteristics needs some more "love"... The BIS Apache flight characteristics is e.g. really nice. Could this be adapted without too much work for anybody?

Hi!

Yes, I will create a last Version. I think it will be released at the end of October 2011.

I spend many time for the Tiger, the original is createt by HEXAgon.

I changed the wight of the model and the chopper drop the flares at the right point, but the annimation of the rotor don't work any more.

So I will change only the config files and release the last Version!

We don't create models! We only changed the look of that models and uses other config-files!
