Need a little help discovering the true awesomeness

Okay, first off: This game is incredible. I have ARMA 2, OA, and both DLCs. Every time I play, I discover a little more of just how great this game is.

That said, I have some questions.

1. Earlier today, a friend of mine and I played a game that he hosted and it was called when diplomacy fails or something. When the game started, we realized we could build a base and earn money from salvage and stuff to build more cool base things. That's AWESOME! But the problem was that there didn't seem to be any AI opposition. Is there a way to play a basebuilding, money earning game mode with lots of AI and/or missions that pop up to take towns and stuff?

2. We play on these servers a lot that run a map called domination, which is neat because there are a billion cool airplanes and constantly spawning missions to keep everybody occupied. The problem is that there is usually lag and one or two jerks depending on the server. So is there a way to run a huge sandbox map like domination or something in single player with AI or with just one or two friends?

I hope these questions don't seem too stupid. Thanks a lot in advance!

Better look in official missions subforum and search there for info on warfare (when diplomacy fails,superpowers,war in the mountains )

Sure it's possible. :)

1. Grab Warfare BE from here.

2. After downloading, unpack all the .pbo files into the folder "MPMissions" inside your Arma 2 folder. (You'll probably only be interested in the Takistan and Chernarus ones right now, but I'd suggest keeping them all just in case.)

3. Now start the game, go to Multiplayer and host your own Warfare BE game.

Domination doesn't work on self-hosted servers. You would need to set up the dedicated server executable for that, which takes a tad more effort. ;)
