USEC Aoraki/Mount Cook Island

USEC Aoraki/Mount Cook (New Zealand) Island (v0.1 Alpha)

This initial release only includes a small scale map (20km x 20km) of the Aoraki region, with snow/rock/ice only. It includes no buildings, vegetation, or anything. Future releases will include the expanded version with the real world vegetation and object details.

Current Version:

- 0.1 (Alpha), 18 January 2011

Requirements:

- ArmA2 OA (only config file requires OA)

- USEC Alpine Core Mod v0.1a (download below)

Includes:

- Aoraki (Snow) version map only

Features:

- 20km x 20km terrain

- 10m terrain relief resolution

- 1m terrain satellite map resolution

Credits:

- Land Information New Zealand for providing contour data, from which the heightmap was generated

- USEC for testing

- Spirit for his help and inspiration at every turn!

wow, perfect :)

Was just thinking the other day that I wanted a winter map to see if I could do clutter to give the "snow effect", will try yours for sure, patrols towards army bases.. perfect :)

yeah this map is great..while staring at them pics i tired so hard to figure what it reminded me of lol...and dang nab-it....it was rogue spear..loved that game!

and now all we need is OA versions of rockets snow troops from the USEC Mod from arma1! i even liked that camo...was that by any chance the newer usmc snow camo? i dont remeber them perfectly but they seemed to have some sorta dig. camo pattern..or atleast the colors used matched that of the usmc's new snow camo uniforms!

but anyways Rocket..amazing work buddy! thanks alot

Edit:

Wow, the terrain is really huge, make sure you have some ski with ya to get 'round ;) Also, we have finally some real mountains.
