L.K. 19 Posted January 11, 2011 Hello, I have a strange problem with OFP GOTY ver. 1.96. After a few minutes of playing with hardware acceleration on, all the sounds become deep-pitched and charachters' voices become "creepy", then I get blue screen of death. If I turn off the hardware acceleration, I get no sound issues but the game still crashes after a few minutes of playing, showing the same blue screen of death. I updated the audio drivers, the video drivers and the motherboard drivers. My sound card is VIA AC-97; My video card is a Radeon 9200 SE and the motherboard is a ASRock K7VT6. Any suggestion is welcome. ;)
anguis 4 Posted January 11, 2011 Are you using -nomap? If not, maybe that'll help. Any chance your power supply is going out? Does this happen for anything else you use the computer for?
L.K. 19 Posted January 12, 2011 Yes I' using nomap, and it doesn't help. This bug only happens when playing OFP, all other programs run fine..
stgn 39 Posted January 12, 2011 Have you tried reinstalling OFP after the new drivers? STGN
L.K. 19 Posted January 12, 2011 No, I didn't. I'll try to reinstall OFP now. I hope it will work. :) ---------- Post added at 02:55 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:20 PM ---------- As far as I know, the only solution to the problem is disabling the audio acceleration in the dxdiag menu. This method, however, slows down radio dialogues in game.
