Ace of Spades

Public 0.95 Final beta version

Mission description: U.S Special Forces are infiltrating Zargabad to finally capture Colonel Amir Aziz Al-Anar, aka "Ace of Spades".

ArmAII-Combined Operations version 1.59

Needed Addons: None.

Known bugs: None

Thanks to: All of you at the OFPEC forum.

Credits: Nominesine for serious playtesting and inspiration. Hoz for his "doFollowUnit" script.

Changelog v 0.95 - Typos. Added intro. High Command now works on dedicated server after respawn.

Missiontype: COOP/SP.

Players: 1-18

Mission Time: Around 30 min, maybe more.

Island: Zargabad

Mission Version: 0.95 (final beta)

Intro: Yes (in SP)

Outro: No

Parameters: Yes (in MP - daytime and view distance option)

Time: Dawn in SP, varies in MP

Weather: Good with slight fog.

Important: Read the briefing carefully.

Missionwork: A mission that can be solved by various tactics, full on assault to sneaky stealth. Intense CQB, desert fighting and Air Support. Custom sounds, dialogue and scripts.

Very well done

playing in SP CO 1.57

Two things :- add some AC launchers to the group 2 (HC)

- I found an ennemy pilot alone at east 100m away the villa

before the assault.

You can choose other weapons (including launchers) in the briefing.

Yes for my group but Stalker Two not possible in the briefing.

Yes i kill the pilot lol, i complete the mission by the north, i captured Aziz near a truck but escape was also very difficult.

One thing when i complete a task no green square in the briefing.

Great mission, replayable of many different ways.

Thanks, will look into it. It has never happened to me, but some bug is obviously there.

Hi all,

To be honest, this board kind of bugs me with the non existant feedback.

All I want to know is basically: BORING, AWESOME, OK etc.

Hope you enjoy it, and please write a one sentance recap...

Like: "sucked" or "wohaa" or "allright".

We mission designers might seem like a weird breed, but we actually care about your opinion.

Part from bug reports and other annoyances we still like to hear about "greatness" or "problems".

"Bugs" that where not anticipated in the original mission design.

Give it to us...

Nothing new actually. It's obviously asked too much to say at least thanks when you downloaded a mission.

Instead they come only when there's something to complain at.

laggy you did an excellent job on this mission. I enjoyed it very much and still am. There's just so many ways to take this on. I like that you gave many tools to handle this mission how ever you like. Do continue making missions. You guys are appreciated very much if we say it or not. :D

This would make a great opening mission to a campaign... The Ace tells all he knows about others in his organization and the Stalker platoon will get to go on more bloody adventures.

One critique:

The military response, I wish it would have actually taken the road. I had a surprise I didn't get to use on it. It surprised me instead and drove straight up the hill and through the fence. It's ok though it made for a dramatic escape in a hale of lead. I love choppers.

Thanks for this mission Laggy! it seems very invested. It is now hosted on the CiA coop server (games are open to public, details on my signature).

I just gave it a try to see how it holds, just flew the Apache a bit, and it seems solid. I will let you know how it turned up.

(You should ask Armaholic to include the nice video on the news post of your mission)
