Night Vision in Helicopters

Hello Im just wondering if night vision is supposed to not work while in the AH64 Chopper. Ive been playing the EW Mission and havent had any success in using night vision while piloting. Information or advice would be much appreciated.

Erm not working how? It works fine on mine... although i stilltend to fly without it...

Well it "doesnt work" meaning my night vision turns on, does the eyesight adjustment simulation effect, everything is green and looks how night vision should look, then it all gets dark and all i can see are the two main light up instruments on the console. Its actually darker outside the chopper with night vision enabled. Turning up gamma or brightness wont even fix this. I dont know what to do and it sucks not being able to fly without nightvision considering this helicopter should have some of the most sophisticated night vision equipment in the world.

I think I had that problem and thats why i stopped flying with the NVG's either that or look up from your MFD's a bit with the num pad.... I thought this was sorted out though... Are you fully patched? are you using OA or just standard ArmAII?

Using standard Arma2. Havent been able to get the OA yet :(. Looking up slightly doesnt really help much, and as far as i know i am patched all the way. I have the game through steam so it always updates itself.

Hmmmm yeah all I can really advise is fly without 'em atm I'll have a looksie too. might have to put a ticket about it. But I remember I used to have that prob

seems to not be a problem in OA with the beta... I can see fine with the US AH64 at night... Played the mission where u gotta blow up grads and a col. with it and I was able to finish the mission without using the UAV. Nap Of The Earth flying FTW

Bug report in CIT please, make a ticket and quote the images in. Definitely a crucial issue affecting the gameplay

Incidentally, I think some of my screenshots violate the forum 100kb limit, for example one is 125974 bytes.

Is that over 100kb? If it is, I'd better delete them.

Sorry but i'm just a grunt wargamer and maths is not my strong point. I'm used to posting in forums that don't have a limit.

125974/1024 = 123kb, so yeah it is, but IDK how strict the rules are on that.

Pretty strict, you can just post links to the pics if they are too big. If you are less lazy then me you can also make thumbnails, or let imageshack do that for you.
