Description

You are one of the last elite soldiers left on the island of Namalsk. You need to defend the northern part of the island with your life. You start at the border of the unzombified lands...

Some features

2 player coop

Many, Many infected

Both linear and free roam fighting

New weapons released with PMC that may be good for killing zombies (AA12)

City infection

Gives you choice of either a linear short mission or an everlasting free roam mission.

Free roam functionality increased

This mission is great! I added in another player so me and a buddy could played. It was pretty intense, had many close calls and epic getaways. Once we got in the"old truck" though, it said we had to move to these other soldiers. After they were overrun I didn't know where to go (I assume it's to do with the fact that I was doing it with 2 players though).

Thank you for this mission, me and my friend love it, I hope to see more of your works in the future = ).

I'm glad you enjoyed it! A 2 person multiplayer is going to be added in the next version which will include a huge update that lengthens the story.

Well, the newest version is bugged to hell (no offense Genesis). I did the whole mission with .84. I can give it a whirl with .90 and see how that turns out.

EDIT:

Instead I got this error: Picture\chn_undead\textures\undfont.paa not found

The spawnmod that you got an error with still spawned as far as I could tell.

I advise using the .84 version, it's more stable

I thought I was.

Grabbing .84 now. Will be at work for the next 24 hrs so I will test tomorrow night.

I downloaded Namalsk Zombies, Namalsk, and The Undead Mod, but I am getting an error when I try to play the mission.

You cannot play/edit this mission; it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted. chn_undead, chn_undead_misc

I have both of those files.

Nevermind, I figured out what the problem was. Something I overlooked and should have seen. I have the Undead Mod in a folder called @Zombies, and I had the addons in there. I didn't have them in an Addons folder inside @Zombies.

Just one minor thing which makes me a bit unhappy:

In your OP you wrote 'many, many zombies'... "Yay!! Finally some real zombies and not these styleless infected!!":yay:

But there are no zombies (slow but sturdy, can only be killed by destroying the brain), you used infected (the 'modern' zombie: fast runner, goes down fast). :butbut:

Anyway, great fun to play, like L4D for adults.^^

Oh, I never noticed that! I'll change it, thanks for informing me. :o

I like the slow zombies too, but they are hard to make a mission with, mainly because it's easy to stay away from them. And putting a lot of them makes them warp around and slows your system. :(

You do not need masses of them. Just limited view (tod set to the morning hours with fog for example) and really limited ammo for the player. And atmospheric (=crappy) weapons. Like the double barrel shotgun or the revolver or the nagant.

'Yeah, I can kill them all easily. And outrun them. But damn, I have no ammo left since I was too triggerhappy so far... And the rescue vehicle is surrounded by a bunch of these suckers... argh... And there is now a hord of fresh infected incoming - I'm fucked.'

Another update for my first mission has been released. It introduces some fixes and tweaks that make the mission what I once wanted it to be, but was never able to achieve.

Changes:

[Changed] Tweaked triggers so the flow of the mission works better.

[Changed] Different weapons so everything is not the same -- thanks Ragor!

[Fixed] The zombies attack you in the beginning different. A little more swift, scary, and less performance draining

[Added] More ambient sounds

[Changed] It is now darker out. Creating a very frightening ambiance -- thanks Ragor!

Also a bunch of other things that I sadly have now forgotten...

Large scale sandbox with Charon's zombies don't work well together. I advise the newly released Degeneration if you want large scale sandbox. It uses Celery's zombies, not Charon's.

Where is the free-roam aspect? Cannot find it.

After you complete the mission, you have the option to get on the boat. Or go explore the island. There is ammo and stuff all over the islands.
