-Locke- 10 Posted December 25, 2010 I recently purchased the Steam version of Vanilla Arma 2. After waiting for it to install, I opened up the game and went straight to multiplayer, however when I try to join a server I get an message. You were kicked from the game. You were banned. I haven't used any custom add-ons whatsoever but when I was banned it was because I used a "Modified file - CA" I really would like to play online with this game, someone please help! Gunter Severloh 2546 Posted December 26, 2010 You may need battleye http://www.battleye.com/ be sure you have what a server requires to play whatever mission/s they may be running. Also after installing anything for steam you got to shut down steam and restart it, i dont have anything BIS games for steam but I remember having to have to do this for Red Orchestra on steam. There is also verify the integrity of the cache, some of these u prob wont need to do but do what you can to get the performance. Also this thread is for steam related issues: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=73554
b00tsy 27 Posted December 26, 2010 Try to do a cache check on steam (verify cache). A lot of times it fixes these issues. Steam might need to download some more files. Ohh disregard that, Gunther already mentioned this :)
