Arma 2 - ai first aid support

This may sound really stupid but i just need to clarify. So i just download it and drop the folder in the addons folder in my Arma 2 directory? Thanks

No! you put the .pbo in your addons folder. You can read a detailed how to do it here on Armaholic.

Hi Dap, i think there maybe an issue when healing enemy unit, i think after doing this they never shot at me again, this was playimg warfare SP.

Your girl was right :D They is too weird :D Thanks for help, but it not exactly what i need :) I also have some sounds.. but it not what i need too :D

For example: Pain_02.wav :D How about sounds like this?

They never shooting at you? Even if you moved away? And they tried to escape? Can you repeat here sequence of your actions? :) Also.. maybe you used old version, where one script was inactive :) Try it with new version.

Sorry i mean to say no enemy at all shot at me after i healed one, this is from the latest release, i use no other mods except JTD fire n Smoke, i will check again tonight...

LoL yeah that sound is good... though in that link i sent you LOADS of sounds

mate, all different. Some were also from ingame of ArmA2.

Hey bro i tested on utes from editor, all is good, works perfect, my bad... must have been some other setting i had? anyway some new injured sounds would be great as i hate hearing the default one with a passion.

Also i listened to that sound and although its a cool sound it would drive me nuts to hear it constantly, with 2 wounded units down screaming that sound i feel would be worse than the current, and therefore to keep my sanity i would put a bullet in them to shut them up.

Although it would be a great one for the initial impact i think the wounded sound should be a subtle murmuring type sound that doesnt over power? jus my 5

HEY katipo66. i noticed in this quote you mentioned that you played warfare Single player? i was just wondering how someone can play a warfare type game but in single player? that would be amazing to take over towns with AI and not worry about connection problems and what not that multiplayer has...

Love this addon, automated AI sorting themselves out is very welcomed.

The only thing that puts me off this addon is the single pain scream that repeats, the latest video shows it perfectly (00:32), is there any change at all to have that optional ... I personally find it realy annoying, can it be removed for private use ... any tips? I just about got over Vanilla pain screams :)

Sorry to post a negative but its perfect and I dont think it makes it any more enhanced that pain scream and any lesser without it.

I've also seen this script seem to overrride some dialogs (things like T menu), and will investigate further.

Now that was a fast turn around :D

Much better pain screams and more varied too thanks very much, sorted :)

I was just trying this with the latest Flashpoint scenarios, great to be on a random battle field and pass by groups of AI with a medic doing his job, sometimes you forget your in SP mode.

Some observations ... is this addon version making injury's more often than kills?

I noticed playing Flashpoint (large scale ongoing war) that 9 out of 10 times AI will mostly go into roll and scream situation and not so much one shot one kill? Now, is this becuase it highlights more the fact that AI arent getting direct kills and im reading into it?

Wounding system is not changed. Main event, which run script - hit, which cause more than 0.5 damage to unit. Without any mods hit in body or head is lethal. But in long-range firefights damage can be decreased, so even body-hit can be non-lethal :) When I play, most of units die after first hit :) Do you use some addons, which change default wound-system?

I haven't noticed it yet, but do other friendly troops (NOT part of your team) heal you if close enough to hear 'injured' ? Something very similar to norrin's revive (where you press H) although that is for your team's players.

Perhaps having a hint that appears (Press H to call for help) would be great if in agony :)

Yes, they do it :) But there is some limitations. As "unskilled" units, civilians and guerillas can't heal. They just drag wounded unit in safe place and leave him for medic. Only units from civilians and guerrillas side, with attendant=1 in config, can heal wounded units.

Actually.. I hate hints :D I always try make all without any additional HUD-stuff :) For maximum effect of realism :) Anyway.. when your unit was injured, he is marked with blue cross, also.. you can use VON :)
