Like the M136 or M72 LAW being a 3 or 1 slot launcher, instead of a disposable?

http://dev-heaven.net/issues/1876

Like the magazine proxies?

http://dev-heaven.net/issues/11418

Like the bouncy grenades, which are able to go through walls?

http://dev-heaven.net/issues/5032

Like the non-tilted optics?

http://dev-heaven.net/issues/9213

I am the last one to say that OA or ArmA2 ain't playable because of their bugs, but these are the things i am angry about, as they are old and just appear on every rendition of the RV engine.

Check the headings, only one of those is (quite rightly) entered as a bug. You might like those other features implemented but 10 years (or however long) on you're still here so one must presume those other games you've looked at moving to are even more lacking in features. Hardly grounds for anger.

In OPF bouncing grenades were implemented as a feature later on, remember?

Its a feature. (not the wall thing, the bouncing thing) ;)

Don't tell me that these are no bugs. If i put a normal Stanag magazine in my M249, it should show up as a Stanag magazine and not as a box. M136 rockets are already in the launchtube, why would they fill up any more slots? And just look at the pictures on the tilted weapon page.

These are no bugs because they are listed as a features on the CIT, yea sure

Grenades travelling through walls is a bug and is entered in the CIT as such.

Stanag displaying as a box in the M249 pilot viewmodel is not a bug, that's by design, you may not like it but that doesn't make it a bug and ultimately it is a matter of resource. Finite resources are a fact of life, even my children appreciate that much.

I am sry for taking the wrong example. Bare with me, as i am just using my mobile right now. The magazine models are already ingame, so why not display them right on the weapon? It is possible for the rpgs, so why not for all other weapons?

And Armariffic, grow up.

(we should discuss this further in another thread lol. bad pr)

Its gamedesign. The slots are representation of how much stuff you can take with you and still be combat effective.

Mind you: even if the slots are represented in 2D, its also a representation of how much weight you're carrying.

So if the M136 rocket is taking up much space it also means you cannot take much more weight with you.

How do you represent weight, as a number like in Stalker? It didnt work.

You're carrying 60kg in Stalker and you can still walk. You take up 1 more grenade (adding up to 61kg) and you get the message: you cant walk anymore.

What we'd really need for a weight simulation would be force-feedback backpack for computerplayers which gets heavier if the game demands it. hahah :D

As it is now, a MAAWS is always the better launcher. It has twice as much firepower and a scope. There is really no reason to take a M136, except the mission designer has limited the use of AT weapons to special units.

Anyways, wrong place. I hope you guys can get in some high positions. But aagainst the mass market of casual games that is unlikely. (who the heck invents a 'best games no one played' category?)

I voted on all fronts but I find this thing kinda weird. People there only vote SC2 or BlackOps becouse thats the only thing they know of, even if the game has no mods at all or smt. Even in best PC game people voted some crap over arma. I mean everyone can vote what they want but noone knows anything about this great game.

And? There are hundreds of bugs with Valve games that were never fixed, watch a Portal speed run, there are game breaking glitches that are never going to be fixed.

In Bad Company 2 the M60 was game breaking, it killed in 2 shots from across the map and how long did it take them to patch it? And when they did patch it they barely changed the values.

Bad Company 2 was a horrible console port with massive bloom issues which, for another example, make it impossible to use first person mode in the helicopters on Atacama desert yet they haven't even acknowledged it existed. BIS give us constant free content, some paid and regular patches far more often than other developers do.

As for your 'bugs' only one is an actual 'bug' and that is bouncy grenades, for all I know that could just be a base engine problem, but whatever. The rest are more requests for things you would like but perhaps BIS didn't make them for a reason.

Think about how broken and bad Call Of Duty has been since CoD 4, a lot of the votes there are a joke. The best graphics is a laugh since 'best graphics'

seems to be a euphemism for 'Best graphics out of the top ten console games', Just sayin'.

One of Germany's most popular online magazines PC Games launched a survey for the best ego shooter in 2010. Go and vote and help Arma 2 to get known more in Germany.

Arma 2 sadly is one of the games which are almost completely ignored by the main German pc game press. There are hardly news about the game, even the release of PMC was not mentioned. Latest example is patch 1.57, which also was not yet mentioned.

On the other hand games like COD:BO or Medal of Honor are daily announced - inumerous of "interesting" Youtube videos and all kind of stuff...

Vote here for OA:

Merry christmas to you all!

Thanks, Dwarden.

Yes, having them on one central place is indeed better. :)

I know ArmA and the comunity (what its all about and stuff) but my PC game vote will go to SC2.. dude.. it's SC2 how can u hate :p

Best fps is a struggle between CoD and ArmA but I'd go for ArmA cause it's "new" and pretty awesome feeling while playing it. So there ya go

BF BC.. is ubercrap imo.. BF2 was orgasmic, now it's dead to me :(

i think the problem lays in way how these votes are set ...

i have no idea why huge publications / gaming media can't separate

single platform (XBOX360 or PS3 or PC or Wii or mobile) and multiPlatform titles ...

cause if you combine into vote single and multiplatform title then the multiplatform one always get more votes

I agree Dwarden. That sure is the problem. You just cant have CoD and ArmA in same list. A2 is PC only and not only that. You need to have pretty good computer to run it. On the other hand theres CoD with milions of consolers.

Oh let them have their starcrafts and cods. Masses will always vote for simple things like games with a single-cell gameplay. If anything IGN's most challenging game is more than enough. I just wish ArmA will always be like that and improving.

I just have to tell you that the Gamespot awards are retarded. Best graphics and people are voting God of War III? Are you F-ing kiding me?

On that trust me if any game deserves best graphics its GOW3, its a stunning technical achievement. Fairly sure devs here who have played it will agree. It has raised the bar for consoles.

Voted for OA in all categories.

ArmA II is the best for us, And thats all that matters in the end. Idk what more us at A2 could wish for. We got DLC and patches coming in left right and center, mod tools to do whatever we need to do with. We got devs posting on the forums like they've not got a game to be making.. or anything.

StarCraft and CoD will always dominate over games like this. And perhaps, Thats a good thing. Should stop BIS getting in over their heads a bit too much. ;)
