Large Scale Campaign help please. Also Warfare help please.

Ok, now i have an ABSOLUTLY MASSIVE task on my hands here but i am willing to give it a shot. I am currently working on a campaign called 'Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis' (it's not official but if you guys at BI want me to chnage the name please message me i will change straight away).

anyways i have come up with an idea that is about an alternate history in which the flashpoint in those 'no-name Russian owned islands' ended in conflict and with USA and Russia and just before the first shots (nuclear WMD) were fired the rest of the world held crysis talks and ended up stopping the two nations from waging the war against each other... Russia stayed communist though and are (in this story) still known as the Soviet Union...

The story then jumps to modern day with the conflict in the middle east... At the same time America is trying to form an alliance with China by buying them out and offering them resources because they know about the new Chinease Satalite destroyer (the US are dependent on GPS they know they cannot win another war without it...) and (obviously at the same time are secretly making their own space capable weapons) they form a new alliance with China... The war in he middle east (ment to be afganistan but will be set in takistan in the game for obvious reasons...) is slowly coming to an end as the insurgency is dying down. The US are allies with the Afgan government (along with Iraq etc) and they are still fighting insurgents when the Marines are sent to Chernerus to assist the CDF after the Chedaki become indepentant to Chernerus and take over the majority of the island... At this stage the story is quite easy as the Marines are up against the poorly armed Chedaki although when the Chedaki are cornered near the end they call apon the Soviet Union (russia) for assistance and then war breaks out.

China is allied with both the US and the Soviet Union at the time but due to the war against a nation as powerful as Russia they are forced to raise prices on the goods china is demanding and they (china) simply cannot afford these goods in such a hard time (Economy crysis) and the start to favour Russia, although for the time being they decide to sit the war out...

The maps i wish to use for this (to be) world war 3 are chernerus, takistan(for afganistan), and those awesome looking arma1 maps and the OFP:CWC maps aswel for the introduction (flashback to 1985)... Seeing that for a world war campaign i will need as many maps as possible all the extremely popular arma1 maps will be used and so will chernerus and takistan, maybe the thirsk islands too...

But anyway the story continues when the UK forces in Europe move from the left into the middle east and the US station their full might on their border ready to flank russia if the need arrises. Europe and the middle east are under allied control and Australia is stationed below asia and along with the full might of the usmc (who pulled out of chernerus after the brittish armed forces took over) move into southern asia, where they push up to the chinease border. Anticipating a chinease counter attack, the brittish forces still occupying chernerus (which by now is ruled by the now powerful and resourceful CDF who can handle themselfs against the insurgency now) along with Germany (using the Bundeswehr mod) and a handfull of Czech Forces (ACR in latest patch i believe) are sent into Africa to try and control as much land as possible and also to act as a safety net incase the forces in the middle east are pushed back.

Sahrani will be africa and will be the most played on map in the game, although Takistan, AfghanVillage, Razani and Avgani will be representing the middle east which will also be used frequently...

China realise what is going on and ask NATO to leave, but when they refuse, china and russia lauch an attack on the NATO forces.

The Chinease destroy a US satelite, but the US who have been frantically working on space capable technology aswel were able to shoot down the chinease satelite destroyer and keep their gps.

China then attacks the Australian forces on their southern border and this causes the allies to attack china from the left and right to surround them, but while this is happening, russia attacks the allies attacking china...

The final endings are to be kept secret but to win you basically will be involve din wide scale warfare missions for whole islands and there will be multiple warfare missions depending on how the invasion and island battles work out, maybe with retreats or final stands...

If all goes well china will be cut off from russia and defeated, then it is everyone against russia, but if china can break through to russia or if russia can inflict heavy casualties against the invading force then china will become a very very capable fighting force and the allie smay even be forced back to africa, and then have to go from there...

I have a couple mates who can help me with scripting, but if anyone (someone like 'benny', who created the warfare missions) could please give me a template (for a warfare mission) with starting positions (as in fixed starting positions that i can move around and all...) and with fixed objectives and towns can i can jsut add/edit without doing any of that fsm stuff it would be greatly appriciated. Also a guide to what everything means would be great to0, e.g: 'beach01 is a starting point move it to which ever beach you wish to start from etc etc.'

I will add a list of mods i wish to use aswel and can someone please upload the sahrani pbos that i need to put into a mod folder to get sahrani map working in arma2 as i dont own arma1. Thanks in advance and any ideas/help/support would be greatly appriciated:)

Also is there an asian style map i can use for the Chinease invasian or will i have to improvise?

Oh my God, your thread stunning me!

btw, I think you'd better not use "Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis" as your campaign title for it was the game developed by BIS 9 years ago, what's more, this title has already been used so many times in community before, so you'd better change another one.

Your idea of scenarios is good but I'm sorry to tell you that Chinese mod seems won't be appeared currently for some reasons, as well as asian style map. Maybe some of single Chinese charactor unit will be released in community but you have to wait a bit long. AFAIK, The models and textures of Chinese mod like some jets, tanks, units, weapons and vehicles are done but it seems that the author doesn't plan to release it at present.

im using acex_pla instead of OpHalfmoon anyway, so i cant get the latest Chinease special forces mod working because im not able to use OHmod with ACEX_PLA because they share classnames, and although i would never compare the two games, as DR is not worthy, dragon rising (codemasters) has cooler chinease guys atm i recken, the pla mods are all good but vehicle wiise they are lacking ALOT. Im still thinking of a name for he campaign btw:p

sounds very ambitious, I hope you have the will to finish the whole thing, by the way, since the ACEX_PLA is not getting updated anymore they will not have TI maps, IR lasers, thermals etc. and there is also no Asian style maps that I'm aware of, the mod list sounds fairly big but if you finish this I think I could cope with it, also for African style maps I would recommend Duala rather than sahrani as it is easier to get, and also better ;).

il get Duala now, but i have sahrani, its not the best map but has heas of variety in terms of terrain and in general has a place for any kind of scenario, and i spose chernerus is beter for urban stuff anyway...

im also getting razani and avgani, avgani seems alright but i havent seen razani yet, fingers crossed it's good to.

I wont be able to complete this campaign without some help though, if anyone knows anyone who is good at making warfare missions who could make a template (with starting possitions, towns, camps etc, and also all that technical stuff like starting money etc all labled so it's easy to recognise what values to change...) any help would be appriciated, this campaign wont be out for a while and i am still learning, although completed missions will be released to see if they are any good while i am developing this campaign.
