Oop... RTS script request, Capture the flag for SP... Ideas...

Hey lads...

I can't write scripts for poopoo... So this is a request, kinda...

I wanna make it so that I can place a trigger or something over a town and tell it to be a certain priority to the AI to fight for take and hold.

I then want to be able to place units on both sides and have them fight for control of each area I designate... very much like Company of Hero's fuel points etc...

Thus these missions will last till all points are captured or all of one side is dead... or no longer on the battle field...

Maybe theres a script out for this already... But I can't find it... *sad hands*...

Thanks in advance to whom ever steps up... Maybe a PM or something and then I can pass off my email...

I'm gonna keep trying to sort this out without using scripts, but I bet I can't...

Further to my last...

Have it so that you have attacking/assault units and defensive units, so once a position is taken the attacking units move on to the next one as the defensive ones move in to defend the now recently cleared objective...

Have a pool of units like a battlegroup (1 Heavy Callsign squadron, 1 Mech Inf. Battalion) on either side and maybe some way of automated choice in who goes where and when???

Maybe thats too complicated... I'll have more of a think about this... Any feedback is great though... Or a link to an already created script of this nature...

Like Capture the flag but in SP, and with AI... and...erm... the flags are instead targets of interest... like towns, rail yards, and bridges...

I'm still having no joy sorting out a Dynamic Campaign form a Hind pilots view... Or any other for that matter...

I'm trying to make a campaign that's primarily for a flight of Mi-24's (x2 heli's)... but being able to switch at mission start if you want to take control of a Tank Troop, Infantryman Section or Special Forces Section would be great too... Kinda like a rolling battlefield...

I can't write script for pooh...

The idea is this: You start in a FARP. when you land at your 'H' pad you have a couple of options. Refuel and Rearm. If you go to the Ops room you can choose a mission from the ones listed below.

You fly CAS, Attack, Support, Escort (Hips and Armour) from point 'a' to point 'b'... All dynamically generated. Detailed briefs on each mission generated, although generic they give you more then enough of a mission overview...

Enemy has objectives and a number pool to bring units from. Eg. Enemy has 1200 men. 300 are placed in strategic positions on the map. Some are attacking targets (fellow Russians) some are defending targets from your forces attacks some are running convoys and patrols. You get missions dependent on who needs you the most and what area needs support. Kinda like the Apache versus Havoc and Comanche versus Hokum simulators, if you ever played them...

Further to this you have infinite saves but you have to go back to your FARP and talk to someone to save. Once the enemy or you get down to a certain percentage, like first side to reach lower then 5% fighting capacity looses the war...

I've done most of the FARP placements and can work out all the tactical stuff... That's kinda my bread and butter... What I get paid the big buck to do... But the scripting needed is far beyond me...

I always wondered why flight sims are the only ones that use Dynamic campaigns... Seems really silly to me... Plus this way would be so much easier for a company to sort out... anyway... hope to hear from you soon... Cheers!

All this for vanilla Combined ops and/or BAF...
