Current version: 2.9 with 64 coop missions

The BAF coop mission pack contains a number of multiplayer coop missions that can be used with Combined Operations (Arma II and Operation Arrowhead) and the British Armed Forces downloadable content.

Files included in the initial release:

Crash Tackle is a mission in Takistan in which a recce patrol has to inspect and destroy a downed coalition UAV

Travel Restrictions is a mission in Chernarus in which an infantry squad has to ambush enemy reaction forces

First of all the BIS developers must be thanked for making an excellent game. This archive contains 64 multiplayer coop missions that can also be played as single player missions with the player taking on the role of squad leader.

Explosive Issue is a multiplayer coop mission for up to 5 players in a single squad. A British demolition party is to destroy weapons of British origin in order to prevent diplomatic embarassment.

I was very happy to see a BAF mission pack and downloaded the lot for regular Sunday coop. Couldn't resist trying "Crash Tackle" in singleplayer this evening and was very impressed. It's a really well-scaled mission, quite authentic, tactical, great terrain, with just the right balance between movement and engegement. Very well-deployed enemy AI and mission objectives.

Question:

If the AT soldier dies before the second objective is completed, how can the unit destroy the Shilka? I don't believe the player has more than one satchel charge.

The only small glitch is an ArmA problem, not the mission designer's, which is that the game does not handle disengagement and tactical withdrawal at all well and it is difficult to corral stragglers who hang around targeting enemies when you want them to GTFO. Obviously this is not a problem in coop.

Always great to see a helo extraction work perfectly.

There is just the single NLAW launcher with 2 missiles for the British squad and two men with a satchel by default, should Arma II have pity in MP and actually allow weapon selection to work there is another satchel and two additional NLAW missiles to pick.

This should be enough to complete the assigned tasks, but if one loses the soldier carrying the NLAW one ought to try recover the weapon from the body or to acquire an alternative from the enemy. There are several enemy soldiers or militiamen carrying the RPG7, which however requires multiple strikes to destroy the Shilka whereas the NLAW is able to knock it out in one go.

Another method is to lob 40mm grenades from a distance to induce the crew to bail, then place the satchel underneath the Shilka. Handgrenades are a theoretical substitute for UGL projectiles, as the Shilka is hard to approach undetected.

When playing with AI it is best to let the player handle the NLAW. The AI might just decide to waste it on a less important target instead of the Shilka. Think twice before expending it on the UAV from a distance, and use the time spent pondering on the wisdom of that course of action by (re)reading the briefing.

That's just about the most gramatically correct post I've ever seen on an ArmA board. You must be officer class.

I played the mission in coop this morning with three friends but we got our a$$es handed to us at the first objective. Twice. I am humbled.

"Strike Camp" is a great mission, very well balanced, but in two attempts, one of them seemingly 100% successful, none of the task accomplished triggers worked. This prevented the Red counterattack I suspect you programmed from materialising.

Thanks for the feedback. The mission was played this morning and the objectives ticked off for all team members. The triggers worked allright, but the test did however reveal an error in the briefing.html text that has been corrected. As a bonus I added a BAF conversion of Escort Agency to the updated version 1.21.

The briefing specifies that the outpost has some troops deployed as listening post away from the main building. If these are not located and killed the objective is not met.

The targets at the command post need to be destroyed completely, the inflicted damage exceeding 0.99. The wheeled armoured vehicles require two satchels to ensure this level of destruction.

An easy way to distinguish whether a vehicle has been completely destroyed is to see if it has burst into flames. If it has not, the second universal rule of problem solving by explosives comes into effect.

The universal rules of problem solving by explosives:

(1) Any problem in the world can be removed by the application of explosives

(2) If application of explosives did not remove the problem, add more explosives

When out of satchels, UGL grenades, handgrenades and captured AT launchers can finish the job.

Hi Sander, great mission packs, loving them loads!

Found a bug on 'Dump Struck';

When I try to blow/shoot the caches of ATGW launchers and missiles, 2 out of the 3 stacked crates at each location disappear way under ground, (If I ask my squad members to target them, they all point downwards when standing on top of their location.) thus not allowing the Obj's to complete.

The crate in each of the four caches (two caches in the north-east, two caches in the south-west of Sakhe) that needs to be destroyed for the trigger to tick off is just the bottom one. Placing a satchel right next to it does the trick. As the top two crates are attached to the lowest one, those would sink into the ground when the bottom one is destroyed which would make it hard to destroy them, so the triggers have explicitly not been made dependent on them.

Destruction of the bottom crate for each of the two caches in either of the two distinct parts of Sakhe did result in the trigger condition being met and the objectives ticking off in MP test. Are there any special conditions or circumstances influencing the situation in your attempt (eg running any mods)?

Re: Your spoiler, I did place the satchel right next to the bottom crate, but no dice. I was playing in Single player mode, but other than that no mods were being used.

An ammo crate will only burst into flames and proceed to sink into the ground after the damage has reached 1. It will not do so for a smaller value. Therefore if the bottom crate has sunk into the ground for each of the pair of caches the condition for the trigger is met (damage of 1 indeed being larger than 0.99). Both triggers have properly kicked off once the four caches in Sakhe have been blown multiple times in both SP and MP tests (

), so I would chalk it down to chance.
