Project: AK-C

Recommended Posts

Stock AK's and M16's are a thing of the past.

Special Forces Operators who join the SF to fight for their belief, too.

Nowadays people rather have other things on mind while struggling to get

even through the basic training: Getting their goals accomplished.

In other words: Get access to the worlds most exclusive weapons.

I plan to release an AK-C weaponpack in the future.

An AK-C Rifle itself does not exist, but its basically a heavy modification of an

AK-101 rifle.

The point is, if you wanted to build this weapon, you could do this today, as

all those parts are featured in real-life stores amd would fit on the actual weapon.

Development speed is generally high, which doesn't mean anything.

Your little friend won't let you down, go tell the world about your gun, and be envied by your local gun club.

Really. Go tell them.

Hmm, interesting. I'm guessing a lot of people will dismiss it because it isn't a real weapon, but I find the idea interesting, creating a fictional weapon that actually seems.. real.

Heh looks good to me, would be cool on some very elite Russian SF or some PMCs. ;)

If you want a real AK with rails and shit, wouldn't you try the new AK-200 series from Izhmash. Thyeve only showed it off this year, so its some time before general introduction, but surely that would fir nicely in the armaverse?

Fictional weapons with a realistic undertone do actually fit very well into ArmA II, since it takes historical accuracy not that serious. Like the H&K XM8 with the PMC DLC.

I think everything which remains in a "realistic military sci-fi" setting like the "Metal Gear" universe could very well take plave in the ArmA II universe as well.

I wouldnt be suprised if an upcoming DLC would include some Sci-Fi stuff.

Hi everybody,

I want to give you more informations about this:

If you wanted to built this weapon, its doable as of right now, since all parts

are broadly available.

So its semi-fictional.

The exact same weapon does even exist:

http://img695.imageshack.us/i/albumsmm118magpuldynami.png/ [

I added a different non fictional rail, stock and magazine, thats about it. I even went as far and recreated the same unique slides on both sides.

PS: C stands for costum.

did you machine the left side charging handle bolt and cover yourself or buy it somewhere? I'd definitely snag one of those for my AK. speed up the speed reloads for 3 gun by quite a bit... nifty boom stick you got there...

There are real world conversions to left side charging handles. AK Lightning bolt is one ($250 USD), Dublin Ratchet Charging System, and Davis Tactical Solutions Dust Cover.

BTW, love the project. I think this might help you DaMan3. Don't forget the cool notched fire selector that doubles as a bolt catch/safety.

I hate you... you just made me significantly poorer... :D

I am sending my arsenal AK-103 to them to get it converted to that standard. that stuff is cool.

In my Opinion Weapons like these would fit much better on the PMCs than the XM8. I´m seeing a replacement Pack rising^^

Haha, seriously, this is awesome.

Actually, Izhmash is creating some modern AKs.

Check this out:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AK-200

Rails, new stocks, all the stuff you're working on.

Seems it's no longer fictional, but futuristic.

Hmm , that dustcover on new AK-200 is really nice ,but the new safety thing is not good

it is not ak200, it's just upgrading ak103,and additional safety is really primitive, but terribly reliable and cheap to manufacture:p

but it really AK200 look closely and see the difference!

I'm making small progress, its really little but things are moving. I modeled a front sight

as well and I am now in the importing the textures phase. The diffuse is not finished as of now but the model is and the configuration to it as well.

I might be making a "making of" video of the gun, so people can understand the progress and

follow all the steps it takes, to create a functional game asset.
