question about user-made maps and OA

Recommended Posts

Are user-made maps for Arma 2 compatible with Arma 2OA?

I have Arma2OA but not Arma2 and I want to play laggy's Behind Enemy Lines mission/map. If it's not compatible, can anyone recommend a similar mission compatible with OA?

Thanks a bunch!

Hi techguyatny

welcome to the forum. You need to run ArmA Combined Operations to run misssions made with ArmA II. In case you have only OA you won't be able to run them. In case you have a chance . . . get yourself ArmAII. Concerning the Behind enemy lines mission by laggy can't give you any advice since I haven't played it. But take a look at Armaholic Download section - there you can find plenty stuff made only for OA.:D

Kind regards

thanks for the advice! i already purchased arma II as an early x-mas present. i remember playing the behind enemy lines mission at my friends house and really loved it. i looked at some of the OA maps at armaholics, but none of them really sticks out to me (i judge books by their cover). anyone have recommendations?

Hi

that's good to hear. With ArmA combined operations you will find tons of stuff from addons to missions, campaigns, whatsoever.:D

I understand the "judging books by cover" concept, but these missions are for free, only cost involved is the Internet connection during download. So what do you have to loose? Give it a try if you don't like them, discard them and try to find some other missions.

kind regards
