Looking great so far!! I've got a question though, will your paladin have the ability to do MRSI style fire missions? It would be an awesome feature. Its great to see this being worked on again though :)

I don't think the actual AFCS in the 109 can do MRSI. MRSI is best left to SPG with autoloaders. I imagine the rush to do an MRSI in a gun with out an autoloader could be very dangerous (wrong charge at the wrong angle, wrong fuze settings, etc).

Woops, indeed you are right. My bad, i was thinking about the cancelled crusader project. I just got excited :(

We need a PzH 2000 or a G6 Rhino... :p

The M109A6 will eventually get some nice networking features though, so the battery can operate from far flung grid squares and still mass fires (since massing fires is the most important part of artillery).

A little more progress:

Fire geometry and view geometry now done and hard at work on the resolution lods.

Actually modelwise there isnt that much to do:

- finish resolution lods

- create damage/destroyed materials and animations

- create thermal maps

- create new crew turned out anims

Then when Nou's finished with the scripts, pack it up, test it and off it goes :)

Small update, the FCS has had it's first test fire.

Please note things like SOUND is a WIP, also a few little bugs to crush with the FCS, but Nou has done a good job. Once the FCS is tied away I think we have sounds and 1 or 2 model animations to finish.

Thanks :). Hopefully it will have a fully unique sound model, start up / running / ramps / engine off / firing / reloading.

SA has done a fantastic job with the model... and Nou with the FCS, so I have a lot to live up to :D.
