RH M4/M16 Pack ver 1.1 for OA / CO

Recommended Posts

do they work with ace tracer mags now?

Yes, all ACE mags and features should be working for this pack. The only thing that seems to be off is the GL sight adjustment.

The only thing that seems to be off is the GL sight adjustment.

Is that statement purely based on your ability to hit targets last night? :p

Very nice to see the configs sorted, truely a top notch set of addons. Good job guys! Truely appreciated, and used daily. :)

(oh and the aimpoint, thank god ;))

Regards,

Gnome

Thanks for update,Robert! I have a three questions:

1. Are you planning to add M4A1 Magpul versions with vertical handgrip?

This shorty gpacc887sm.th.jpg or normal normalp.th.jpg

2. Add Tan versions of M4A1,like in MK.18 pack?

3. Add M4A1 verisons with iron sight,like in MW2?

@D@VÅ - A3 is based on A2 and only fires full auto instead burst - i have looked into many sites and sources and they say that.

A3 with rail top - i have only seen on airsoft guns

These sources are misinformed. Undoubtedly an official source will clear this matter up:

The M16A3, which was introduced in 1994, is basically an M16A2 with full-automatic capability and optional M4A1-style Rail Interface System (RIS). The M16A3 and the M16A4 are identical in appearance to the M16A2, but both have the modular upper receiver. The M16A3 is capable of fully automatic fire, like the M16A1, while the M16A4 uses the M16A2's three-round burst mechanism. Additionally, several types of optical sights have been developed for the modular upper.

[source]

I think the confusion stems from the modular nature of the AR15 platform, sometimes rifles use left-over parts, (mainly because QMs are notoriously cheap!) for example, some M4A1's upgraded from M4's will have lower receivers recycled from an M16A1. Though I've also heard that some manufacturer's tend to give their rifles M designations they shouldn't have (for example, the Bushmaster "M4A3", which is pretty much a civilian legal clone of the M4A1, named such so it'll sell better to hillbilly militias!).

Thankyou for the update - can someone else please check whether the bursts sound correct? I'm currently getting the good ole "sound-of-one-shot-per-three-round-burst" bug for all weapons with a burst mode.

EDIT - fixed it, just add soundburst = 0; to your M4 and M16 entries. Works like a charm now.

On another level, would it be possible to add correct muzzle flashes to the M16A2 series and later? The M4 has the correct 6 pronged flash, but the M16A2s, A3s and A4s all have that retarded blob one despite having very similar flash suppressors. It'd just be a matter of going through and replacing them - easy job.

If you felt extra motivated, you could add the 3 pronged ones to the AR10 and M16A1 series, as well as your M14s...

Pics of what I'm referring to.

M16A2 - wrong flash.

M4 - right flash.

would someone please make a replacement pack for these? the cole replacement file for the old pack doesnt work with most of these, and this allows you to get woking OA weapons with proper ACOG reticles for the USMC in combined ops. I would but I don't know how.

M-14 ans M-16A1 don't have the 3 pronged flashhider if this

http://www.rcarms.com/resources/ak-3-prong.jpg

is what he is talking about.

the XM-16E1's issued early in Vietnam and to the Air Force had those, but the modern birdcage flashhider on all M-16's and M-4's since was adopted on the M-16A1. the M-14 uses this longer flashhider anyhow. like the one on the right of this picture.
