AH-64 Pack

Recommended Posts

Of course! I just need to figure out the best medium between the model and texturing and I'm hoping to model a pristine maintenance version and a damaged version, as in how did it survive that kind of damage.

Damn...this is a lot better than porn !

I think I've never been so amazed watching at a picture of a rotor.

Outstanding work, really looking forward to it.

Keep it up :)

Glad you like it, ironicly it was the main rotors that were the first thing of the model to be built and later the large gap in the fairing bugged me so I figured why not spruce it up and make it look even more lifelike?

On a more off topic note apparently one of my friends decided to prank my desktop, animated ponies everywhere.

We had a contest already and it didn't turn out well :(

I don't remember a single mission in OFP (user or official) where there was cobras and apaches together. I suppose you could make one ^_^

If you had the US version (1.20 I think it was), the first mission for flying a gunship on Everon had you fly a AH-1 while the squad leader flew an AH-64.

Wow! I had no idea. I guess I had the European version.

Hey everyone, hope you had a great holiday. I know there hasn't been much in updates recently..mainly because Franze has been tied up in other things and there bird will not have changed to yours eyes. I have however been busy, namely going back and trimming the polycount where I can while improving the model and another time consumer..UV mapping done several times FFFFfffff.... But some good came of that, in aggitation I went ahead and made other national parts so I can UV map it all at once, and I thought it might be nice to share them for those concerned about apache's other than the US.

Some original parts such as the wipers are missing or that the A and D gear are combined because I had to set up the model so many times (everything is currently attached for UV mapping) and got fed up and essentially ruined the moment hence some poor angles and lighting.

First the British version also likely to appear in project reality.

EDIT: British version removed since I forgot to model a few sensors.

And for our Netherland friends, the extra countermeasures and DIRCM pod, sensors might get a few more sides so they are less blocky.

And Block 3 finally got the engine upgrade.

If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask, if I missed a sensor please let me know (unless block 3, they are there but I accidently deleted them in the scene and was too upset at that point to go back and redo it)

British version will, and the A model will eventually be in CWR, I'll update again later once I get the UK model finalized, there were some things I forgot to add.

can you we not get a standard alone version of the British version that isnt part of PR?

i understood it the way that Nod will release a seperate package with all these variants, independent from other studios but also give them to mods like CWR

Hey Juice good to hear from you, hope the weathering isn't being too difficult over there.

I forgot to unhide the wipers again before I deleted everything but balls to it at this point, my (future) gift to our UK pilots, a fully outfit WAH-64 with CVR-7, HIDAS and the whole shabang...I am getting so tired of remaking those Furgen doors.

WAH1.jpg?t=1309940710

WAH2.jpg?t=1309940709

WAH3.jpg?t=1309940707

And yes Pure that is correct, all variants will be released as stand alone first and foremost, however more simple (unless otherwise requested) can be used in full scale mods if they so desire to ask, welp back to UV mapping..finally almost done for the LAST time.

Shouldn't that WAH-64 have MTADS?

I thought they moved rear HIDAS sensors to the wingtips (from the nodes on the tail boom) when they did the 'Arrowhead' upgrades. Nvm; it was done before the Arrowhead upgrade.

Looks mega none the less

It's possible they moved it the HIDAS from the rear, I've seen photo's of it mounted on both on the same helicopter at once though so I went with wing stubs and rear. Arrowhead is optional, just didn't have it in the scene at the time.

It will in time, I've finally completed the UV mapping (took 3 2048's BUT that includes EVERYTHING, UK equipment, Israeli, RNAF, A model, block 3..) and it's Sooo nice to see more colors than grey and green.

I'll post some pics of it later when it gets a bit more...eh...defined, hope you guys like stencils.

Sooo apparently I have some weird anomaly going on, in the editor I see the green skin and with the normal map shader I can see it clearly (minus the shade overlay) Buut when I render it out I get..this.

I don't even?

Is there a alpha channel in one of the textures masking out the UV lines?
