Militant1006 11 Posted October 15, 2010 The WIP report looks nice, I can't help wondering, but would you ACE guys be willing to put RobertHammers Mk.18 variants into ACE? I think they would get a fair bit of use, and Robert Hammer has a bit of history with supplying weapons to ACE.
AnimalMother92 10 Posted October 15, 2010 There's been some discussion on that, see #14166 Personally I'm not sure how much the Mk18s would contribute, seeing as we already have a ton of very nice M4 variants, and there are many other unique weapons that could be added first. Nicolai 10 Posted October 15, 2010 Hello ace developers, first of all, I'm sorry for not creating a ticket. I can't seem to create an account at the bug tracker. My problem is that since some time I don't have any dust kicked up by M1 tanks firing. I remember having the dust in the past so I was wondering whether this is a known problem or that it's something on my side. All I did was load up utes, place a M1A1 with me as commander, and fired some rounds at different locations. Thanks in advance, Nicolai

manzilla 1 Posted October 15, 2010 It was explained in one of the old milestone threads. I asked the question about that as well. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find it yet. I was wondering about this as well, again. If I find it I'll post the link.
stk2008 14 Posted October 15, 2010 Hi all I need some help please. Its not ACE`s fault but I am basically trying to creat two EXE`s in my STEAM library. I have ARMA2 and OA both are retail. I have added a shortcut in my STEAM library for the BETA ARMA2 and that was fine. Now I have tryed to create another ARMA2 BETA shortcut but no matter what I do both short cuts now start up ACE. here is me ARMA2 BETA path "E:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe" -mod=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -nosplash -maxmem=2048 -skipintro "E:\Program files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2" and the path for my ARMA2 ACE2 "E:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe" -noSplash -nointro -noFilePatching -showScriptErrors -maxmem=2048 -mod=expansion\beta;expansion\beta\expansion;@CBA;@ ACEX_SM;@ACE;@ACEX;@ACEX_USNavy;@ACEX_RU "E:\Program files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2" Please advise as I dont want to restart to disable the ACE expansions leaving just the OA and BAF expensions every time. EDIT Spoilers wont work for me? or I would have spoilered the paths sorry All so could the cool edition be laser and flash lights are able to work on one gun independently that would be cool. TomatoArden 0 Posted October 15, 2010 My problem is that I cant get the self interaction menut to come up. Ive edited teh Ace client side text file and replaced the Jon doe bit with my user name (below the line it says too). I don't get either the interaction or self interaction meus comming up. My windows key does work (the other binding I had to change to P as I use an apple mac keyboard which doesn't have a menu button), and they are both set up properly as under ACE in the map emu it shows the two functions as binded to those keys. Thanks

xeno 230 Posted October 15, 2010 (edited) Concerning the settings dialog... please be aware it is still WIP. Some features are not yet adjustable and ACE keys can't be changed yet (it needs a lot of changes in CBA). While I've finished the dialog today and Sickboy and I have implemented the core script functionality today it still lacks saving ingame changes to a file/database. (Edit: the scripts are allready laid out to support whatever will be available) Currently it uses the data from the userconfig\ace files but you can allready adjust some features ingame like the stance indicator for example, like written above. We are evaluating ways to store changes permanently (jayarmalib for example but we also hope that BIS implements some kind of save/load feature). Not that easy with ArmA if you have more than two options users can change :) Xeno Edited October 15, 2010 by Xeno
